Babe In Charms is just of sixteen new shades, and I’ve already shared my review of the Bougie Paint Pot (which is so beautiful), and today I have Babe In Charms to show you. MAC describes the MAC Babe In Charms Pro Longwear Paint Pot as being peach with rose gold pearl, which had me instantly sold, but wow it’s even prettier than the photos online. The MAC Babe In Charms Pro Longwear Paint Pot is very sheer compared to every other Paint Pot in my collection. The only shade which has a slightly sheer finish is Let’s Skate, but Babe In Charms is definitely sheerer than Let’s Skate. It almost has a clear base, with lots of rose gold shimmer particles and peach shimmer particles. The more you apply, the more obvious the duochrome shift becomes, but you have to apply it in sheer, thin layers and let them dry down before applying any more, or it’ll move around on the lids. I like to store all of my MAC Paint Pots upside down with the shade names facing up, and I feel like it also helps to prevent them from drying out, too. It also protects from flying insects. The mesh panel can be zipped closed or left partially or fully open, as required.Some of the MAC Paint Pots work nicely under powder shadows as a base, but I don’t find MAC Babe In Charms to be as effective as a base shade. The formula is a little different to the other Paint Pots, but I prefer to wear it alone, for the noticeable duochrome shift once layered. If you store them well, they last for years, and I’ve never had an issue where a Paint Pot is dried up, and I owned eight before purchasing a collection of the new shades. You can use a product like the Inglot Duraline to revive one, should it ever dry out. I know that’s more of a faff than any other MAC Paint Pot shades, but the pretty and unique duochrome shift it worth the extra effort, but if it wasn’t so pretty, I wouldn’t bother, but I can imagine some being annoyed by how sheer it is. Red hair color can be really impressive! While blondes and brunettes are arguing about who has more fun, redheads are simply enjoying themselves. You don’t need to participate in absurd discussions, as there is a perfect red shade that flatters your skin tone and even your personality. You just need to find it!
