About this deal

In 2019 Commando began publishing stories with a supernatural or horror theme around Halloween each year.

I served for seven years in the Irish Reserve Defence Forces, finishing as a weapons specialist in the infantry. During its launch year two issues were published per month, but due to the comic's increasing popularity this rose to four a month. When I knew I was going to become a father, I asked one of my best friends for some recommended parental reading material. Professor Michael Bar-Zohar was a member of Knesset (Labour) and wrote the official biography of David Ben Gurion. Only the best of the best make it through and are trained in an extraordinary range of specialist skills.

This proved a commercial success and further anthology collections have been published, some of which are themed. Containing 6 issues: Inland Navy, The Ship-Busters, March of the Monsters, Bright Blade of Courage, Mighty Midget, Another Tight Spot. Accompanying a major BBC series, Commando is an unforgettable glimpse into a rarefied world of danger, drama, and valour. If you’re not a confident parent, your child won’t be content, as he or she won’t be reliably changed, fed, bathed, burped and rested. Likewise those books about parent-child relationships and development and letting your child express itself in the form of dance or not listening to you whatsoever.

This was also published in another edition by Seven-Oaks which featured the same 12 stories but with different cover-art and a different title:- Commando: The Best 12 Aussie and Kiwi War Stories Ever. The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. They are all here in this great collection of the best of Commando picture stories where all guns are blazing and every page is packed with action and adventure!Falklands Commando has plenty to offer in the way of lessons learned for war on an austere budget in a remote location. In desperation, Winston Churchill and his chief of staff form an unusual plan - a new commando unit made up of Jewish refugees. Former Royal Marine Monty Halls tells the real stories of extraordinary individuals through a period of historic global unrest: from high-profile drug busts at sea, to the Mountain Leaders’ iconic raids in the Falklands; from life-affirming recovery from injury, to ultra-events raising vast sums to support their brethren. It is the best book I have read so far this year and it won't be easy to find a better book, especially non-fiction.
