About this deal
Originally posted by Viki:It acts as a standard USB Audio In device, it doesn't have its own driver and windows should detect it automatically if everything is OK with your PC. Though it might seem obvious, it’s easy to completely forget that the volume knob on our guitar or bass is turned down.
I even tried using my VOICELIVE2 (TC HELICON voice harmonizer) which has an USB audio interface: all the same!Since the Real Tone Cable is pretty cheap, a lot of users experience a significant amount of latency, especially if they’re on an older computer that’s not as powerful. When calibrating, once the game asks you to mute the strings after playing, make sure you mute them with your hand and immediately release them. You will need an AB/Y pedal for this fix. It doesn’t need to be anything fancy. The Donner ABY Boxwill do just fine. And when it finally did recognize the cable, it would randomly disconnect and stop working that that USB port. The only way I found around it was to switch the Real Tone Cable to another USB port and hope for the best. What you see on the television or your computer monitor should feel like a real-time playing experience.
This mode basically just disables note detection altogether and displays the notes on the screen for you to play along. Finally, if you have tried all of these fixes and you are still having audio or latency issues, it might be time to replace your Real Tone cable. Place the No Cable Patch executable on the game's main folder. Put a shortcut of the No Cable Patch executable on the desktop, if you prefer, and launch it. IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS. This option can still help you learn how to play the guitar, but it doesn’t provide the interactive aspects that make it such a fun way to play!

You can also use a cable splitter cord to get the benefits you want without a Real Tone Cable when you play on PC. If you’re someone who likes to record guitar through direct-in, then you might already have an audio interface as a part of your main setup. Ubisoft doesn’t offer drivers to support the gameplay experience. That means your computer must recognize the guitar, or you don’t get to play!
