About this deal

Start your slug control early and apply at least a week before planting to ensure your garden is safe from slugs. Treats small to medium gardens up to 40 Square meters so your flowers, vegetables and fruit are left for you to enjoy and not the slugs. The nematodes in Nemaslug are found naturally in UK soil and have been approved for use in organic gardening by the Soil Association.

These predators have a significant impact on the slug population, but many of the chemicals used in slug pellets can be toxic to these predators, so if you use them, you run the risk of harming them. Apply once daytime soil temps are above 5°c/40°f, so apply UNDERGLASS all year round OR apply OUTDOORS during the growing season . If you do apply though foliage then wash the treatment from the foliage to the soil with extra applications of water.

They are particularly fond of succulent seedlings, which when left unprotected, can be totally destroyed in a single night.

If you have an allotment or garden and grow your own food, then potatoes will probably be one of your bigger crops as it is our staple food.Nemaslug works at temps above 5c/40f, so apply UNDERGLASS all year round OR apply OUTDOORS during the growing season. Nemaslug will kill snails, and many retailers sell it for that purpose, however Nemaslug is not generally an effective snail treatment due to the snail lifecycle. You put them in a watering can full of water, stir them in and water them onto the soil round the plants you want to protect. Thanks for the message and there as some species of nematodes that in lab conditions may affect bees (there are hundreds of species of nematodes) but the ones used in Nemaslug have not been shown to have any effect and are safe for bees.
