As this is an XL model, the main floorhead is too large for most stairs. Fortunately, the mini pet attachment is ideal for carpeted stairs due to its rotating fins, while the crevice tool nips into tight edges.The Lift-Away feature really shines for cleaning stairs. At 3.3kg in this mode, it’s lightweight, compact, and convenient. Plus, you don’t need to worry about balancing the entire vac on each step and risk it toppling over, as you can just take the canister section with you. The AZ950UK has every bit of tech Shark has to offer on a corded upright vacuum. If you live in a large home with lots of high traffic then this is the model for you. If you live in a regular home then the NZ801UK/T or the AZ910UK/T would be the better options here, Pet hair performance was excellent, too, with the Shark PZ1000UKT able to easily remove all of the hair in a single pass. It’s also worth noting that the trade-off for having a wider floorhead is that it’s more difficult to manoeuvre around furniture. This is less of an issue in big rooms though.
