About this deal

Simpson's next album, "A Public Affair," went Gold, and her 2008 album, "Do you Know," reflected a return to Simpson's Texas roots and a country music sound. "Do You Know" was Jessica Simpson's first #1 album. Simpson also returned to reality television with appearances on the series, "The Price of Beauty" and "Fashion Star." If anyone wants a celebrity gourmand fragrance, I recommend Queen Latifah's Queen over Fancy. Queen is boozy and gourmand, but it does not have the strong synthetic smell of Fancy. Simpson is also noted for her fashion line, Jessica Simpson Collection, which produces clothing, handbags and shoes and is one of her most successful business ventures to date. Simpson entered the perfume world in 2004, partnering with the founder of the Clean line, Randi Shinder, to produce a line of edible lip glosses, perfumes and cosmetics called Dessert Beauty and aimed at a young market.

The performance of Fancy is definitely weaker than that of something like Burberry Brit, and even slightly weaker than that of Curve Crush. Within three hours, Fancy’s fruity top notes evaporate entirely, leaving you with a faint trail of white florals and caramel-sweetened milk lotion. I can still smell this trail of base notes on my skin for another good nine hours. Simpson's next two albums, "Irresisitble" and "In This Skin" would go on to earn Gold and Multi-Platinum status respectively. After smelling Fancy, I can say for the first time that I truly understand what people mean whence they describe a fragrance as smelling "synthetic." It is best to smell this fragrance as it wafts up to your nose from your arms as it does not smell at all pleasant if you place your nose close to your arm to sniff it, which is untrue of every other fragrance I have tried. Nonetheless, much of creativity is just combining ideas that came before you, and the sweet lactonic base of Curve Crush and the pink plastic fruit top of Burberry Brit are, indeed, two ideas that blend well together in this fragrance. Thus, though most of the components of Fancy are things I’ve seen before, the combination does make sense.I don’t terribly mind this phase of Fancy: it’s uninteresting, artificial, and safe, but the base notes’ sweetness without the plastic fruit overload on top is not too cloying when you get used to it. The hint of white florals adds a nice soft touch, and the artificial qualities of the scent don’t get too headache-y for me at this stage. No offence to anyone who loves Fancy, but I cannot recommend it. Anyone who really loves caramel as a note may want to try this, but beware that although there is a strong caramel note in it, the fragrance is very synthetic smelling. It has tenacious longevity and outstanding projection and sillage.

The gardenia stays in its lane. This doesn’t become a floral perfume. Instead, it’s dusted by the lilting, faint, white-almost-green, soft-almost-powdery scent of gardenia petals. They provide a refreshing reprieve from the straightforward sugary sweetness of the rest of the scent. It’s still another sweetish accord, so it’s not an entirely fresh breath of air, but there’s a lightness and natural freshness to it that keeps things from getting too cloying and candy-like. I like Fancy's deep dry down much better than its top and heart notes. In the deep dry down I still perceive vanilla and a bit of caramel, but I also perceive a nice, warm amber. It remains very sweet into the deep dry down, too. Together the vanilla, caramel, and amber are nice but nevertheless quite foodie. I am not sure I would want to live through the top and heart notes every time I wore this just to get to the base notes. I have seen that there is a lot of love for this fragrance, so I would like to observe here that I do not categorically dismiss all celebrity perfumes. There are serious quality differences between this one and Britney Spears BELIEVE or MIDNIGHT FANTASY or the four Kat Von D launches which I recently reviewed. This Parlux creation seems to be made with components at about the level of Coty non-prestige launches such as Halle Berry HALLE. I am sorry but this is simply too low for my nose and very unpleasant to wear on my skin. A reviewer below mentioned the smell of books. I love this because it smells like an old opened book. There’s a little dust, an underlying mustiness, and an unusual inky element. Above all, there is the smell of paper. I am no expert but I’ll venture to guess it is due to the papyrus note. The patchouli is a bit dirty but like those found in head shops. It is very verdant here, like reading books in a forest. Longevity is superb, and though I find it is linear it is surprisingly complex, too. not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising under these terms and

Our liability is limited and excluded to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law. We will The balance here is impressive, and the evolution is solid. Despite initially feeling like an uninspired copycat early 2000s sweet scent, Fancy does bring its own distinct thing to the table, particularly in that gorgeous gourmand drydown. I can see how this became a classic early 2000s sugary-fruity perfume. The opening top notes are quite rich and bold. Definitely a night fragrance or one you would wear in Winter. First off, I noticed that it smelt a little bit like Prada, yet it was a touch sweeter and minus the amber. Fancy thankfully forgoes the obligatory opening blast of floral perfume-y musk I found so headache-inducing in Curve Crush, so this is one improvement on the theme. Instead, the first few minutes of Fancy feel especially tightly structured and clean, like a shampoo or body lotion.

For me there are two similarities firstly they are both vanilla scents and secondly they both have something very soft...Otherwise they are very very different scents. Fancy is younger and more caramelly - Note Vanille is more grown up, more upscale and less gourmand. these terms and conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, do Jessica Simpson defied expectation with her celebuscent, Fancy Nights. Not that I see her donning a lab coat and protective goggles while comparing methods of oakmoss extraction. Maybe this did, in fact, take place. I highly doubt it but one never knows. Oh, but to take a whiff of this beauty, one has to wonder if maybe she could hold a discussion about such things. For the price point, this is a sweet deal at local discount stores. Longevity is excellent, lasting quite a few hours. He starts very fruity I perceive clearly the apricot and also red berries. The pear shows me unfortunately not. After this short prelude, liquid, light caramel notes are very present for me. The vanilla permanently hovers very young and light above all the fragrance notes. The strong sweetness in the heart is softened by soft sandalwood. Straightforward and inexpensive, this is a classic because it delivers what a lot of people really want: a simple gourmand scent with a clean fruity opening. For some people (including myself), this sort of scent can get headachey, but I also can’t deny its potential to deliver pure, simple pleasure, especially if you’re someone who enjoys those fruity notes that lean towards shampoo-ey and artificial. Right as I finished writing this review, my boyfriend came home and said I smell nice and asked what I was wearing. I feel incredibly justified in my above statements.)
