With the L-Connect 3 software, you can activate the start/stop mode for your Lian Li UNI FAN SL120 V2. When your components are below a temperature you set (maximum 50 degrees), the fans remain off. In addition, L-Connect 3 allows you to create an optimized fan curve for speed and temperature. Rule 1// The tubes of the radiator must avoid the tenon of the UNI FAN and be at the safe area, which is in grey in the image. Lian Li puts you in control of every aspect of your fan with their L-Connect 3 software. This dedicated software is capable of displaying key performance data including CPU temperatures, memory utilisation, even the capacity left on your storage drives. Alongside this, this software can identify the clusters of fans you have installed in your gaming PC, and how many fans are in each cluster. From it’s easy to use interface you can control the speed of the fans, and how they react to temperature fluctuations. The software includes the standard options for quiet, balanced and high-speed operation and even a zero RPM mode if your computer is idle. Alongside controlling fan speeds, L-Connect 3 is also capable of managing your fans RGB lighting. You can even assign different colours or effects to individual fans or a fan cluster. Furthermore, you can synchronise the lighting effects to happen over multiple fan clusters for a unique aesthetic. The LED strips of connected fans with a distance of 3 millimeters compared to 5.6 millimeters in the previous generation have a significantly reduced spacing between the individual fans. This results in seamless transitions of the illuminated areas, and effects that span fan clusters are enhanced. Lian Li has redesigned the rubber pads and added additional cutouts, making the unique RGB lighting stand out even more.

Note: The connectors of the UNI FAN SL V2 series are not compatible with the SL, AL, and INF series!The second refinement Lian Li made to the UNI Fan SL V2 is to their ability to daisy chain. With the first generation of fans, you’d have to connect each cluster to the controller separately, which could lead to some unsightly cable runs. The V2 however is able to daisy chain two sets of three fans together enabling much cleaner cable management. Only one cable is required for each fan cluster when using the provided new UNI HUB to control lighting effects via L-Connect 3. Do not connect more than 10 UNI FANs (device up to 21W) to the controller (UNI HUB) when performing white static color. To connect more devices, please update to L-Connect 2 (reference to update guide) and use 2 or more controllers. Please enter your motherboard BIOS and set the correspondent fan header at PWM mode. (Update your motherboard BIOS if necessary)

The plug system introduced with the UNI FAN SL and AL series has been further improved in the UNI FAN SL V2 series. On the one hand, the plug can be removed to prevent possible collisions with connections on the radiator and at the same time ensure a tidy look.
