About this deal

Volume 3: The Red Fist Saga Part Three (collects #11-14, writer, with Marco Checchetto and Rafael De Latorre, tpb, 2023, ISBN 978-1302947712) I guess I am disappointed. The theme of even without Batman monsters would exist was literally said out loud. No points for being subtle. Meantime, story opportunities were thrown away. We don’t see other characters react to no Bruce. We don’t see Bruce react to losing his family. No reaction to losing his hand. Is he afraid he won’t be as handy? Will he be more (h) armless (see what I did there). Supposedly earthshattering events didn’t matter to the characters, so why should it matter to me?

Brister, Jeff (2022-02-15). "Batman: The Knight #2: An Origin Story Somewhat Like Any Other". Comic Watch . Retrieved 2022-11-27. When DC approached me to write Batman, I immediately thought about things that could really challenge the character mentally, physically, and in terms of his relationships," Zdarsky said in an interview with ComicBook. "Failsafe is his Doomsday. When I started mapping out the story I got really excited about where it could take the title." The creative team of writers Chip Zdarsky and Tini Howard and artists Mike Hawthorne and Adriano Di Benedetto will also cap off the crossover event with Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War – Scorched Earth #1, available on October 31. Details on the final issue in the Gotham War event will be released soon.Bruce Wayne goes to Paektu Mountain in North Korea to ask for training from Master Kirigi. Bruce bonds with a young man name Anton and they start training for months. Bruce becomes suspicious after Master Kirigi takes in new students without any previous tests. While talking with Anton, Anton tells Bruce that he wants to stop crime for fun and that it is harder than committing crimes. Bruce Wayne decides to leave Master Kirigi's training after Master Kirigi plans to teach the students a technique that will kill people in one hit, as well as the new students being assassin's apprentices. Bruce is ambushed by Master Kirigi's new apprentices (who Anton told them that Bruce was leaving) before being saved by Anton, and both of them begin traveling elsewhere. [5] Steve Murray (born December 21, 1975 [1]), known by the pen-name Chip Zdarsky ( / z ə ˈ d ɑːr s k i/ [2]), is a Canadian comic book artist and writer, journalist, illustrator and designer. He has also used the pseudonym Todd Diamond. [3] He worked for National Post for over a decade, until 2014, as an illustrator and humorist (as Steve Murray) and wrote and illustrated a column called "Extremely Bad Advice" for the paper as well as The Ampersand, the newspaper's pop culture section's online edition. Both your Red Hood story in Batman: Urban Legends and Batman: The Knight deal with the rift between fathers and sons, whether that’s Bruce and Jason or Bruce and Alfred. In your Batman series, Bruce is partnered again with Tim Drake. What is that relationship like?

Bruce: The cycle: break, heal, break, heal. How much longer can I do this? The pain. I used to be able to bear it. All Your Base Are Belong to Us: By the end of issue #128, Failsafe has taken over Gotham, using Oracle as its eyes and ears, both most of the Bat-Family and the Justice League captured.Coloring and lettering are often underappreciated, so please take a moment to talk about how Tomeu Morey and Clayton Cowles played a pivotal role in "Failsafe." I know this is a tough question to answer, but how much can tell us about Bruce and Selina's relationship in the future of the run? I don’t want to spoil anything, but with Selina’s recent breakout from jail and Bruce’s struggles with Zur-En-Arrh, things are going to get intense in Gotham,” added Zdarsky. Josh Williamson talked about Chip Zdarsky, saying " I've read Batman 900. I have never been more angry and jealous in my entire life in my professional life than when I read that comic book. It's very, very good, and the stuff that happens in it, I was like, this bastard."Oh, my book is gonna be so grim. It's gonna be this gritty Batmanbook!" Then I read 900, andit's one of the best celebrations of Batman ever [made]. I read it and felt like [it was] so good. It's so fun. It's dark, too. There's definitely some really dark stuff in there, but it's balanced out with shit that I think really make people smile and laugh when they read Batman900 and I think people are going to be really surprised by how awesome 900is." Merry X-Men Holiday Special: "The Gift That Keeps On Giving" (writer/artist, one-shot, February 2019)

Kavorka Man: The Penguin is revealed to have fathered ten children. As stated by the Executor, he was quite the "popular gentleman" despite what his looks would have you believe. While traveling, Bruce and Anton's jeep are sabotaged and they walk on foot to meet Ra's al Ghul. Ra's al Ghul explains that he's trying to save the world as well, and agrees to train them in the heart of healing wounds. Bruce is suspicious of Ra's al Ghul as, even though he is saying he is saving the world, he is also training assassins. While sparring with Ra's al Ghul, Bruce is easily defeated and wounded. Bruce survives by slowing his heart rate and use Bialyan graveolens to disinfect and enhance regeneration. Talia al Ghul makes advances on Bruce, but Bruce rejects her and she leaves coldly. Ra's al Ghul calls them to a meeting, saying that he has assassins to protect himself, as well as him reaching out for Anton and Bruce to replace Harris Zuma, and tells Bruce and Anton they will have to fight for the death. [10] The second story shows the creation of the Batman of zur-en-arrh. After a scientist tampers with Batman's mind, he gets terrified of what he'd be capable of doing, if he lost control, so he creates this secondary personality, as a safety measure. This was a truly great story, maybe even better than the main one, that perfectly showcases Batman's personality, his fears and his relationship with Joker. The writing is really great, with Chip Zdarsky's characteristic narration and Leonardo Romero's beautiful artwork. Implacable Man: Failsafe's single-minded devotion to hunting down and destroying Batman would be enough to put the T-800 to shame. Spinning out of Knight Terrors: Batman #2, Batman, and Catwoman are getting a Dawn of DC crossover event. The crossover event takes place in Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War – Battle Lines #1 launching August 29, then carries on in Batman #137 & #138, Catwoman #57 & #58, Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War: Red Hood #1 & #2, and Batman/Catwoman: The Gotham War – Scorched Earth #1. He studies without hesitation but the incident left scars on the soul of this young man...
