About this deal

They are intended to be worn a little snugger than touring-style trousers and from a distance, look like a pair of regular jeans, especially if they are single layer. A lightweight, hard-wearing nylon shell forms the first layer. Under this is a waterproof, breathable, Dry2Dry membrane, a mesh layer for comfort, followed by a removable WarmDry thermal layer. The outer construction uses Airdura – a portmanteau on DuPont’s “Cordura” and “air” to convey breathability. With these, it’s just the piping at the seams that reflects light. It’s pretty powerful and barely noticeable in normal lighting conditions.

We like Thinsulate™ because… 3M™ invented it, in their words, to make living life in every season more enjoyable. Since then, they've chipped away at the boundaries and bulk that prevent pure, unbridled joy of the outdoors. Sound like that’s good for the British motorcyclist. If you machine wash them then do not wash them with other clothes and ensure that it is a cold wash. Most importantly is how it performs. And the answer is pretty well, if not as breathable as Oxford’s solution.Integrated c_change™ membrane. This membrane reacts independently to changing temperatures and activities and is 100% waterproof and windproof. It closes when exposed to cold and opens in response to warmth, the prevailing humidity and body moisture are taken into account in this process. In doing so, not only temperature but also air and body moisture are balanced out. c_change™ ensures the ideal body climate. To remain waterproof your jeans will need to be rewaxed, how often this need sto be done will depend on how frequently you wear and wash your jeans. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer if the price match in question results in the selling value being less than our buying value. Turn the jeans inside out, do the same with the waterproof trousers and pull them over the inside out jeans. 2. Cut The Waterproof Lining If Needed When we talk about waterproof motorcycle jeans, we don’t necessarily mean they are made from denim. Riding jeans are trousers that are more jeans-like in their cut and fit rather than larger and more adjustable touring-style trousers, for example.

Yet the biggest caveat I had with the pants is that because of their construction — denim over a waterproof membrane — the outer layer still soaks up water. To make a pair of waterproof trousers, a membrane layer is typically required. Reissa, SinAqua, and Dry2Dry are the most popular materials for this waterproof layer. So on paper, the jeans appear great. The idea of wearing jeans in the pouring rain to work and staying dry — without wearing bulky or ugly waterproof pants — is a huge innovation. Fits Waist (in) is your waist measurement in inches. Wrap a measuring tape around the fullest part of your waist to verify. Cheaper waterproof trousers often don’t use a proper sealant so doing this will help ensure that seans remain watertight for longer. 4. Sew Lining Into Jeans WaistbandRegarding motorcycle helmets, ECE 22.05 is the marking you’re look for and clothing should have CE level 1 or CE level 2. Single-layer jeans weave the protective fabric into the same layer as the main textile. This results in a more comfortable, more flattering-looking pair of jeans with better breathability. But single-layer garments are hard to waterproof effectively. And, unsurprisingly, they won’t offer as much slide time as multi-layered clothes. Waterproofing
