About this deal

Accessories: Left & right fists, 2 missile launchers, 2 missiles, 2 "Machine Guns", left & right wings, left & right rudders, left & right tail fins, landing gear The term Seeker refers to Decepticon jet troopers who share Starscream's body-type but with different colors or minor variations in wing and head shapes. This is most clearly and commonly known from Generation 1, but any franchise with a Starscream is almost inevitably going to feature a similar "family" of redecoed jet-formers. The box features new art of Skywarp with Earthrise inspired detailing in robot and vehicle mode laid over a scene of Autobot City. If bright colors are nature's way of saying "do not touch", then nature's got nothin' on Sunstorm. Come too close, and circuits will short, steel housing will begin to melt, and psyches will break as the mind struggles to comprehend. Science would explain that his body is aflame in radiation, but Sunstorm has different ideas. Like all other uses of the mold, Starscream has a missing molded panel-line detail on the right wing hinge that is supposed to curve in towards the body of the jet. The reason for this missing detail is likely due to it missing from the metal mold itself.

A piece of art by Guido Guidi in Dreamwave's 2004 The Ultimate Guide features a green Seeker, who is sometimes identified by fans as Acid Storm, though the color layout doesn't particularly match. Oh sure. Make a Transformer from the line that has some of the most complex figures ever cast ENTIRELY out of translucent plastic. Great idea. Acid Storm isn't solid green in every shot of "Divide and Conquer"—in the monitor shot he first appears in, he has grey intakes and a green-grey upper chest that matches his helmet. Oddly enough, the intakes are one of the areas that were left the basic green on his Universe toy. This figure was also available as a Toys"R"Us exclusive in many international Hasbro markets such as Canada, Australia, and Europe.Amusingly, the Decepticon symbol on his chest is ridiculously tiny, to the point where it's little more than a purple triangle.

The figure was reissued once more, this time in Japan, in April 2017 along with several other toys in the line to coincide with the release of the then upcoming MP36 Megatron and features a "Good design award" mark on the box. As a Deluxe-sized Unite Warriors figure, he can form the leg or arm of any Combiner Wars-style Combiner or into one of Legends Godbomber's legs, but is normally associated with Grand Galvatron. As such, his large (non-firing) double-missile-launcher accessory can convert into either a hand or foot for combiner forms. After the war between the Autobots and Decepticons ended, Sunstorm fell victim to Bombshell's experiments with brainwashing individuals into mindless shells for the sake of creating the perfect combiner. Before the Dawn When Prowl had discovered Bombshell had murdered Skydive and came to arrest him, Bombshell had the mind-controlled Sunstorm hold Prowl and Arcee off while he made his escape. The altercation ended with Sunstorm being stabbed and killed by Arcee. Devisive The jet-based Vehicons (specifically the silver "Ace" types) used by the Decepticons in the present day have been recognized as Seekers by Starscream. ScatteredLike Gentei Ghost Starscream, Masterpiece Ghost Starscream is cast in light purple translucent plastic instead of just colorless clear plastic like the G1 Ghost Starscream figure. Walmart once again reissued the original Skywarp toy (or is it a recolor of Starscream from the same line?) in 2023 under the Transformers Retro label. Unlike the Vintage G1 release, however, Retro Skywarp has been redecoed in colors inspired by his appearance in the original Transformers animated series, more specifically The Transformers: The Movie. He remains a mash-up of Starscream's Commemorative Series and The Transformers Collection reissues, with the former's elongated null rays and cluster bombs and the latter's gun mode Megatron accessory. Later versions of Starscream saw a retool in the jet intake area, which involved the slope of his shoulders being decreased, and a fifth small rectangle being added to the vertical area. This version of Starscream is the harder to find of the two, but was used as the basis for all subsequent redecos and retools. Despite its age, the mold has been frequently reused for various Seeker characters in the years since its first use, though its last few uses have exhibited visible signs of mold degredation. A subsequent interview in Transformers Generations 2015 named Kobayashi as the designer of Ironhide, confirming him as the designer in question.
