Often a tall towel type radiator will do. Turn off the boiler. Bleed water from a radiator bleed point until the boiler pressure drops to zero. Take the whole bleed plug (not just the square headed bleed screw) out of the top of the radiator, syphon out 1.5 litres of water and replace with the chemical. Replace the plug, top up the system water to normal boiler pressure (say 1.3 bar if you don't know what that is). Run the system as above. You will still have to do a full drain down and repeat a few times as above. If you don't have a suitable towel type radiator you can get the chemicals in various "easy add" versions. Like the more expensive Sony UBP-X1100ES, instead of automatically switching between HDR10 and Dolby Vision depending on the content you’re playing (as with the Panasonic), you have to enable and disable Dolby Vision through the player’s menus.The Panasonic UB820 upscales slightly better, but it’s a slight difference. I’d say the Sony X800M2 performs marginally better – at least where sharpness is concerned – than the UB820 with HDR10 sources. Anyhoo, my intentions were try and buy a good used Magnacleanse (power flush) filter and stuff that in where my wee Magnaclean is, and then does the bludy system to the hills, hopefully to finally clear the carp out of it.
