About this deal

Freezing treatment can be painful. Sometimes a small blister develops for a day or so on the nearby skin after treatment. Also, there is a slight risk of scarring the nearby skin or nail or damaging underlying tissues such as tendons or nerves. It is not suitable for younger children or for people with poor circulation. Again, the studies done on freezing treatment vary considerably in their results. Some seem to show it is more effective than salicylic acid; others show it does not have any convincing benefit. It is certainly more expensive than salicylic acid, however. Therefore many NHS services, such as some GP practices, no longer offer it as an option. This is because salicylic acid is cheaper and the evidence that it works is more convincing. Wart and Verruca Patch is specifically designed to be placed perfectly around the subject area offering a safe, clean & effective treatment to facilitate the removal of unwanted Warts and Verrucas. The patch provides an effective treatment therapy which also prevents the risk of bacterial infections and the spread of more unwanted protuberances. A good example of this is a damp floor in a communal changing area such as a swimming pool. Someone with a verruca walks across this floor in bare feet which enables the spot to release virus infected cells onto this surface. Another person then walks across the infected surface which is then transferred to their foot and result in the development of a verruca.

These treatments can take up to 3 months to complete, may irritate your skin and do not always work. You should not use these treatments on your face. This is a freezing process in which liquid nitrogen is sprayed onto the verruca which kills the infected skin cells. This forms a blister which then dries out and falls off. Chemical treatment

Are verrucas contagious?

On balance it is usually only worth treating a wart or verruca if it is troublesome. For example, if it is painful or you find it ugly and conspicuous. What are the treatment options? Alternatively, keep the duct tape on for five to seven days, then remove it. You may need to repeat the cycle.

Mononucleosis is caused bythe Epstein-Barr virus (EBV or HHV-4). The Epstein-Barr virus is associated with primary infections but also neoplastic processes. [11]Thepathogenesis of mononucleosis primarily involves the infection of B-cells in the oropharyngeal mucosa, where the virus may remain latent. A clinician swabs or sprays liquid nitrogen onto the wart and a small surrounding area. The extreme cold (which may be as low as –321 F) burns the skin, causing pain, redness, and usually a blister.
