About this deal

Lexi has lived her whole life in Bangor, as well as 5 generations previously. She is very proud of her hometown and often worries about the effect of the amount of litter that’s always around. She is passionate about learning, gymnastics and Tik Tok! Lexi’s poem entitled ‘I’ve Had Enough’ which reflects her personal thoughts on the environment and its issues, will now be featured in the new book The Big Green Poetry Machine – Green Poets, and a copy of the book will remain in the National Archives forever. The competition organisers have also written to the school and sent a certificate to mark Lexi’s achievement.

The online resources offer 4 x idea generation activities, a word bank and lesson plan. The student info guide, video, and graphic organizer also make this a great independent learning activity. There's a PowerPoint presentation or use the Google Slide version instead! Pupils were invited to write a poem inspired by the environment and nature, from wildlife and conservation to climate change and more. School pupils nationwide have celebrated planet earth as well as writing some thought-provoking environmental pieces. Get your whole school engaged with caring for the environment and creating a better world for their future by writing a poem and giving their young voices a chance to be heard.
