About this deal

Here is a selection of some animals, that are cannibals. Being cannibalistic does not mean, that they will necessarily kill and eat each other. Almost spent, as I was, by fatigue and the dreadful suspense I endured for several hours, this sudden certainty of life rushed like a flood of warm joy to my heart, and tears gushed from my eyes.

In chapter 40, after Rhys helps Feyre win, he also speaks to her through the bond for the first time. Honestly, all of chapter 54 is SO good; very Midnight Sun getting to read all of Rhys POV from Under the Mountain and the events of the first book. Rhysand And Feyre Under The Mountain Rhys kisses Feyre to cover up for Tamlin but it is not exactly the most romantic of first kisses (but don’t you worry that comes later ;)). Chapter 42 of A Court of Thorns and Roses All was again silent, but his words rang in my ears. I burned with rage to pursue the murderer of my peace and precipitate him into the ocean. I walked up and down my room hastily and perturbed, while my imagination conjured up a thousand images to torment and sting me. Why had I not followed him and closed with him in mortal strife? But I had suffered him to depart, and he had directed his course towards the mainland. I shuddered to think who might be the next victim sacrificed to his insatiate revenge. And then I thought again of his words—" I will be with you on your wedding-night." That, then, was the period fixed for the fulfilment of my destiny. In that hour I should die and at once satisfy and extinguish his malice. The prospect did not move me to fear; yet when I thought of my beloved Elizabeth, of her tears and endless sorrow, when she should find her lover so barbarously snatched from her, tears, the first I had shed for many months, streamed from my eyes, and I resolved not to fall before my enemy without a bitter struggle. In The Book of the LORD you can search and find where it is written, "The LORD brought together all of his creatures by the power of his Spirit. Not one is missing."

Another thing that's confusing. What happened with Orwell? Because I read his chapters second time and I see nothing bad about him. Besides him not being fated mate to Bella there were no signs of him being a bad guy. But for some reason right after they marked each other, Bella started having doubts and Orwen been described as 'a tool' and other derogatory descriptions. It personally irked me. King Mateo and Callan were shady from the start why Orwell was forcefully lumped with them. In Orwell POV he said that he was happy that at last he would belong somewhere. There were no malicious intentions, so why he couldn't be just let go a mistake, without making him into bad guy for no reason?

That being said, I enjoyed the interactions between Bella and her mates and how each one seemed to provide her with something unique that she needed. The spicy scenes definitely added to the experience and I liked that each of them did things a bit differently so I didn't feel like I was reading the same thing over and over. Rhys, Feyre, and Amren travel to the Summer Court to steal The Book of Breathing under the ruse of creating an alliance with Tarquin, the High Lord of the Summer Court. I mean come on! They are just so cute. At this point in the book, I’m just ready for them to be together already. At the time, we do not know who this tall, dark, handsome savior is, but we later find out that it is The High Lord of the Night Court himself in chapter 26 when he crashes the Spring Court. But it remained, shining fairly, in that hole inside my chest. The hole that was slowly starting to heal over.” I get the sneaking suspicion FD is planning to write a book for Heather which I’ve got mixed feelings about. Until the very end of this story, we’ve only seen her at her worst which doesn’t exactly make me excited to read her story. However, I’m also genuinely curious to see who she’d end up with and how the man would react to her basically being in love with another guy almost her entire life until it turns out he was fated for someone else. How ironic would be it if she found herself fated to be with a human? It would be her ultimate redemption, even bigger than the progress she made in this book. I digress, this story had me living the potential it set up if the author chose to use Heather's new found sends it understanding ( particularly because The shows a brief scene with another female characters displaying the same despicable behavior because of her similar bias she shared with Heather towards humans; and while I once hated Heather I found myself loving what she could become, and represent in this series, aside from the hope other reviewers shared hoping for her to get her own book now that she's no longer that ugly female characters we all despise in these stories, but actually experiencing pain ( I think the male shifters are exempt from being the built in make to female hierarchy built in to a shifters world ( the leave a being The alpha male's 95% of the time, not that that bothers me, but this shows how these worlds can deal with issues most often not written abiught, cause it usually sold just take the fun out our what makes shifter lives awesome if brought up in the same way we as humans view fairness and gender equality, considering we don't have a magical element of turing into an animal sharing that's spirit etc. It would take away the fantasy goodness if it tried to apply our mindset without adapting it to fit the people can natively share a body with a wolf and blah bkah.. Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: Rhys is known as “Amarantha’s whore” by the other courts of Prythian, and is believed to be working for Amarantha and Hybern.

In an evolutionary sense, sexual cannibalism benefits both the male and female mantis, even though it does not appear that way. Feyre is an actual lady boss in the court, both on the battlefield and off. She kills a bunch of Hybrun’s army and gets revenge on her ex-love! Mating does not always end (or start) with the male being eaten. In only around 20% of the cases, the female decides to devour the male praying mantis. Praying mantis eat meat and are cannibalistic. Many mantis species show very aggressive behavior towards each other. When mantis are held as pets, only ghost mantes can be kept in groups. All other species will kill and eat each other.Rhys still knelt, wings drooping across the white sheets, head bowed, his tattoos stark against his golden skin. A dark, fallen prince. The painting flashed into my mind. Flashed—and stayed there, glimmering, before it faded. This is a book that is so unique and takes us into a world that I’ve never seen. Where wolves have elemental powers and can wield it with deadly impact.

In the wild, it makes sense to use other creatures of the same species as a food source if food is scarce or if the other animal is too weak to survive. He is really playing the part of baddie here, but in chapter 54 of A Court of Wings and Ruin, Rhys tells Feyre what this moment was like for him, and it is a whole different side of the story.
