The Story Orchestra Book: Four Seasons in One Day - Royal

The 3 year old boys I was reading this to mainly cared about the music, not the story or illustrations Spectacularly amazing. Rich in so many dimensions from the music to the illustrations, from the words to the texture of the book. A sensory delight.'Each book retells a famous ballet, opera or program music story, from Mozart to Vivaldi, in a child-friendly way, paired with sound clips of orchestras playing from their musical scores. Gorgeous book. Illustrations are amazing, and the music beautiful. The recorded music actually sounds good, like music, not the tinny sounds that often come out of the books with the "press the button for the sound" feature. I do not enjoy opera’s but I do find this an enjoyable read with my daughter. She likes all the music in the book and really enjoys the illustrations.... Pairing 10-second sound clips of orchestras playing from their musical scores with the story. The perfect primer to introduce children to classical music.

This book was donated by the publisher for my Stags Read project and will be given to a student in my community.
