About this deal

Honorable Mentions: Hermès Hermessence Vanille Galante, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Guerlain Shalimar Ode a la Vanille Sur la Route du Mexique, Indult Tihota, Rochas Rochas Man The St. Barth's that's mentioned is delicious, just know it's a full-on foody vanilla, nothing subtle about, but I may actually prefer it to Tihota, though I don't wear either often, they're too cupcakey for me. Serge Luten Un Bois Vanille is super woody, but not as woody as Derek Lam Something Wild, which is just too too woody for me. Aqua di Parma's Mandorlo di Sicilia is a powdery bourbon vanilla/almond, some say it smells like root beer.

Vanilla, nor matter if rich and creamy, woody and spicy, or milky and sweet, is a fragrance note that basically every one can identify due to its omnipresence as a flavour in our foods, from baby formula to Coca Cola. While some people still claim Vanilla to be the most universally liked fragrant note, I happen to be a more or less cured vanilla phobic. While there were the typical positive associations and feelings towards Vanilla in foods and beverages, I wholeheartedly disliked the idea of Vanilla in fragrances. Honorable Mentions: Guerlain Shalimar Eau de Parfum, Givenchy Pi, Joop! Le Bain, Givenchy Gentleman Eau de Parfum, Christian Dior Dior Addict, Christian Dior Poison Girl, Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison, Le Couvent des Minimes Cologne of the Missions, Yves Rocher Vanille Noire, L'Erbolario Vaniglia, Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Extreme Eau de Parfum, Chanel Pour Monsieur Eau de Parfum

I've always love vanilla fragrances.. before the gourmand explosion was on trend I remember always get complimented for my sweet/foody/slightly androginous scents.. my favourites were and are.. If you look at notes you dislike and think about why, you may find yourself like myself noticing that there are just some notes that don't sit with you well; they give you a headache, or make you nauseous, and there are what I call the acquired dislikes, notes that have somehow bad associations, for whatever reason. Its sensual and seductive veil of warm vanilla and sultry musk not only delights your senses it also effortlessly keeps you refreshed on the go.

This will help you find out how long it lasts and whether it’s the perfect scent for your taste. Perfumes that Smell Like Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace Today, everyone knows the scent and taste of vanilla, but mainly the synthetic variant, as the real vanilla extract is very expensive and its production hardly profitable for producers. The scent of vanilla consists of several components, of which the main ones are vanillin and piperonal (heliotropine). Hey, this is obviously for sbj lovers, on budget (sort of, Montale is French by all means, and is times more expensive when delivered across the ocean, I can guess). If you’re looking to receive numerous compliments, you can mix the fragrance mist with the alluring Vanilla Lace lotion. Morn to Dusk by Eau Italia for a fresh bergamoty vanilla that still manages to be seriously foody, but smells much more expensive than most foody vanillas.

There is a whole House dedicated to vanilla - La maison de La Vanille which offers an entire line of approaches to vanilla for both haters and lovers. However, when her mom bought her the Vanilla Lace for Christmas, she thought it smelled divine, like a slice of vanilla pudding cake! How Long Does Victoria’s Secret Vanilla Lace Last For? The fragrance is perfect for women aged 26 to 55, and the most suitable time to put it on is during casual meet-ups with your friends, or after intense workout sessions or impromptu meetings with your clients. Where Should You Wear It?The amazing scent comes in a beautiful bottle coated in tortilla-brown casing with “Vanilla Lace” written at the center. Released in the 2000s, this Vanilla Lace body spray by Victoria’s Secret is classified as a soft, creamy, and powdery fragrance mist that offers a refreshing feminine touch. Honorable Mentions: Farmacia SS. Annunziata Vaniglia del Madagascar , Il Profvmo Osmo Scents Vanille Bourbon, La Maison de la Vanille Vanille Divine des Tropiques Honorable Mentions: Guerlain Shalimar Ode a la Vanille Sur la route de Madagascar, Van Cleef & Arpels Collection Extraordinaire Bois d'Iris, Bogner Bogner Woman No.1

Shalimar edt by Guerlain: simply one of the best vanillas I've ever tried. Classy, elegant, grown up, quintessentialy tasteful. It's powdery, ambery, oriental with a sensual trail. Perfectly blended with some citruses on the top and then becoming soft and smoky. Can't get enough of it, divine. SDV is the best, hands down, but unfortunately the longevity is just not there. Couvent if you can still find it is a dupe. Dzing! by L'Artisan Parfumeur was inspired by the zoo, by the sawdust and the animals, the fun and festive air that surrounds a performance, but also the comforting feel of a childhood memory. It's probably not a surprise that vanilla is so closely tied to childhood memories. Dzing! does not immediately recall vanilla, it actually smells like a cross between moving boxes, sawdust and old books, all of this sprinkled with the slightly unsettling hint of animal musk in the distance; this thing is heaving. On the other hand, some really don't enjoy vanilla based fragrances; over the years I have encountered people who found vanilla-sweet fragrances to be cheap, annoying or simply not working with their body chemistry when vanilla had the leading role. The illusion of burnt sugar and cotton candy is the culprit for the "bad reputation"; notes we have witnessed to become very popular in the sugary sweet offer of the last decade. For those, I'd like to put forward another Guerlain creation, one that actually manages to use Guerlain's famous vanilla accord, but in a smaller dose: Shalimar Perfume Initial. It's powdery and woody with a slight whiff of vanilla; a composition in which you can really enjoy the entire development, even if you are not a vanilla lover. The vanilla note turns out delicious without being sweet, and over time it becomes a complementary note under a dusty cloud of powdery iris. I believe this is the least sweet edition of Shalimar’s family; easier to wear with still a significant sillage. Shalimar Parfum Intial is one of those fragrances where patchouli is in love with vanilla; both notes develop softly and in harmony without deviating into plastic earthiness. Parfume Intial is a 4th generation Shalimar, approaching L'Heure Bleue in the most elegant gesture Thierry Wasser could imagine! It gets muskier, woodier and cosmetically sweet with time, after which it turns to quiet and innocent with a subtle and faint trail of vanilla that you will enjoy even if you don't tend to love vanilla.

Talia oil by Johnny Was for those who like vanilla mixed with orange, patchouli, and jasmine, and a little hippy-ish.
