The Pen E-P7 makes one wonder, did OMDS target the E-P series for its simplicity and elegance?The other major improvement to the screen is the hinge; a clever double-jointed design allows it to flip upwards by around 80 degrees, but also to flip downward and all the way around so it faces front below the camera body. In this position there are some self shooting features which I’ll talk about in the Shooting experience section below. Unfortunately the PEN E-P7 doesn't combine the shots either in-camera or in the supplied Olympus software, so you'll need to use Photoshop or a specialized software program like Helicon Focus to combine all of the shots into one image. Just as we found in the OM-D E-M10 IV, the autofocusing system for the E-P7 doesn't set the world ablaze. But it is at least predictable, which is perfectly good enough for a camera of this type and size. Each of these profiles is customisable and you can adjust the contrast using the Highlights & Shadow Control and/or the vignetting using the Shading Editor. It’s also possible to replicated the effect of using traditional colour filters with the monochrome profiles and adjust the saturation of up to 12 colours by up to +/-5 steps for the colour profiles. The coloured filter and saturation adjustments are made using a type of colour wheel control on the camera’s rear screen.
