About this deal

I've been playing on a prebuilt with a i5-9400F and a GTX 1660 since I switched over to PC gaming 5 years ago, and I finally got around to upgrading just recently. The Terra is a “sandwich” mini-ITX case with unique features like removable gull-wing doors and top panel for access, a movable spine for flexible internal fitment, and touches of wood and leather for some style from alternative materials. We noticed with our downdraft cooler that the cooler’s fan is partially blocked off by the solid portion of the side panel door.

If you try to install the motherboard without those two already attached, you are just setting yourself up for frustration down the road, no matter what SFF enclosure you’ve chosen.

When I was last heard from on the enclosure review front, I mentioned how much I’ve been enjoying the rising popularity of SFF enclosures. One of the benefits to this is that it allows some of the larger GPUs currently on the market, provided you can use a shorter cooler on the CPU. A cookie set by YouTube to measure bandwidth that determines whether the user gets the new or old player interface.

The SF1000L fits, but the cables need to be preinstalled when mounting it because there’s not enough room below the PSU to comfortably plug one in after the fact. They even go so far as to including a genuine leather pull tab to remove the top panel, and a Kensington lock to lock the side and top panels in place.

For cooling, the Terra doesn’t come with any fans, and the manual only shows an optional step for mounting a single 120mm fan in the bottom under the PSU -- but that’s not possible with an SFX-L PSU. Of course, since each build is so different, you may need to adjust if your card produces more noise than ours did. Since you can’t actually replace the side panel short of removing it entirely, your options are to lower fan speed or move the spine to get the fan farther away from the panel. It has some extremely unique features, but also some extremely unique noise characteristics as a result of the slat design on the panels. liter capacity, it easily accommodates high-end components, even providing support for graphics cards up to a length of 322mm.Our 13600KF and RTX 4070 weren’t really held back, but ultra high-end choices like a 4090 or 13900K would force you into skimping on cooling somewhere and making an imbalanced build. There is not only enough space to plug the 24 pin, the USB 3 and USB C front connectors into the motherboard once it’s installed, but there is plenty of room allotted for cable management beneath the power supply. MAG CH120 X Black Gaming Chair from MSI ENJOY A MORE COMFORTABLE GAMING EXPERIENCEThe durable steel framework on the MSI MAG CH120 X Gaming Chair offers a sturdy construction with specially molded foam to contour to your body for great body support.

Unless you need the extra power SFX-L affords, we recommend sticking to true SFX PSUs in the Terra just for ease of use and flexibility.which gives the CPU cooler plenty of clearance with pretty much no noise profile issues from either side of the case even with the fans ramped up. The Terra has a movable motherboard plate, aka "spine", which can be adjusted sideways allowing you to increase the relative size of the CPU chamber or GPU chamber.
