About this deal

Note that there is also a second location of Giolitti in Rome located next to Lake EUR (a large artificial lake), which opened in 1960. It is called Giolitti Eur and in addition to selling gelato and pastries, it is also a full-service restaurant.

Note that there are a variety of seating options here, and the prices for sitting on the terrace overlooking Piazza Navona are somewhat higher than the prices if you sit inside. If you sit inside, you get the same food and drinks, just with less of a view. We did this and still had a nice experience here. For more ideas on food and drink tours in Rome, see our guide to the best food tours in Rome, which has many of our favorites listed. Are there any good tea places in Rome? This was the first cafè of its kind in Rome. The Anticafé is more of a coworking space with the look of a cozy coffee shop. This is one of the few places we found that served cold brew coffee, which was much appreciated in the blistering summer heat during our last summertime visit. They even have Nitro cold brew coffee (and tea) on tap. I believe they were one of the first places to serve Nitro cold brew coffee in Rome. With colorful paintings on the walls and mismatched chairs, it’s certainly a unique environment (even before you throw cats into the mix). The last on our list of Roman cafe and pasticcerias is Pasticceria Andreotti. When it comes to the best coffee shop Rome offers, and some of the best pastries, you want to go to Pasticceria Andreotti. Indeed this spot is really far from the city center, but if you live or stay in this area, it’s definitely worth visiting. caffè americano: express shot with hot water added afterwards, the most similar to a traditionally brewed drip coffee The caffe freddo was dosed with a sprinkling of raw sugar and the silkiness of the frothy milk on top made it taste like a melted coffee ice cream, a welcome treat for a hot day in Rome.

Jazz Cafe is known and famous for many things. When it comes to a cafe in Rome (cafe Roma) it’s the to-go place outside Piazza Navona, it’s the to-go place if you want the types of dishes that Romans eat (it’s not a for-tourists place, but one where many locals go), that’s also hosting art exhibitions. For those who are looking for a coffee shop near Pantheon Rome, and are willing to walk 5 minutes more, I recommend doing so and coming to Jazz Cafe for a morning coffee. On this visit, I opted for a caffe latte freddo (iced coffee) accompanied by a bar of Amadei – Cioccolato Acero 95. This Tuscan chocolate is a favorite of mine because, while I usually prefer a more palatable 60-70% dark, this 95% is imbued with maple sugar which adds a dry sweetness and an autumnal aftertaste. Not to be confused with the similarly named coffee spot above, this café and restaurant was once the sculpture studio of Italian sculptor Antonio Canova. Canova was a well-known artist most famous for his marble sculptures, and today you can find his sculptures displayed in famous art museums worldwide including the Louvre, Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Borghese Gallery in Rome. Just ask for a caffé americano. They will prepare it by diluting an espresso coffee with boiling water.
