ZOWIE, BenQ’s professional Esports equipment brand, took its time to make sure that the wireless mice have a delicate design and enhanced connection stability. Moreover, it prioritised providing cable-free mobility as well as higher resistance to transmission interference. Introduced in late 2008, ZOWIE is a brand dedicated to the development of the best competitive gaming gears available that compliment Esports athletes’ combating performance. From 2015 on, the ZOWIE brand was acquired by BenQ Corp to represent the company’s Esports product line that delivers a truly competitive experience and enjoyment. Despite being a little on the older side for a gaming mouse, the G Pro X Superlight (commonly abbreviated as ‘GPX’) is still one of the finest competitive gaming mice out there. There are others out there with more cutting edge technology, but the GPX achieves such a perfect balance on pretty much all fronts that it’s hard to look past it, even today. This is the predecessor to the Logitech G Pro X Superlight, and this is the mouse that paved the way for the GPX to become the king of competitive gaming mice. It has the same shape as the Superlight, but there are a number of notable differences. The feet on the GPW aren’t up to modern standards, for example, though replacement feet are still available so that doesn’t have to be a big issue. The buttons on the GPW are also a step down from what you’ll find on the GPX. The GPW does have (modular) buttons on the right side, while the GPX doesn’t. Differences with the GPX This method involves using the hairdryer to heat up the glue underneath the mouse feet. Once the glue has been heated long enough, use a spudger (a flat plastic tool with a sharp end) or a knife to scrape underneath the feet to peel them off — be careful if using a knife!
The OUTSET AX is VAXEE’s take on an ergonomic gaming mouse, and its original shape (which feels like a more compacted EC, even though the hand feeling between the OUTSET AX and the ZOWIE EC is quite different) seems to be a hit with professionals. Do it your own way Be careful when using the hairdryer too, as you want to avoid overheating the mouse, which can cause damage to your mouse (plastic melting or warping) and also cause injury to yourself, so proceed with caution. You aren't a competitive gamer: Sure, it's a brilliant wireless gaming mouse, but cheaper mice are available for the more general gamer. As such, it’s not surprising to see VAXEE’s first ever wireless product featured on this list. The XE (it’s also available as a wired mouse) has a great ambidextrous shape with a modest but gradual hump and without a lot of curves that could cause issues with grip, so it’s going to be a mouse that works for a large variety of gamers. You can use the spudger or knife on its own without using the hairdryer, especially if you're unsure of how long to heat the feet up by. This may leave traces of glue on the bottom of the mouse however, which will need to be removed before attaching the new mouse feet.
