The new Alpha 9 Gen 4 chipset ensures that lower-resolution content also looks good by applying AI-enhanced upscaling to 720p and 1080p sources. Blue Bloods on Now looks surprisingly watchable despite the lower resolution, with the processor upscaling the image as effectively as possible, while also applying noise reduction and sharpening where appropriate. LG C1 OLED review: HDR performance LG: “The C1 OLED is tuned to make sure that every model in the series has the same optical characteristics to the human eye, no matter what parts are included in them. Great service, unsure about the TV yet I bought my TV about a month ago hoping to enjoy a great display. Unfortunately, the TV had software issue and richer sounds agreed to swap it. Here goes the second try, but this one had no display at all and only audio. Moving to the Rec.709 HD colour gamut coverage, we can see that the results are very accurate with some very small, invisible errors in the graph. Red is slightly oversaturated and magenta has a slight hue error towards red, but as our DeltaE errors are an average of 0.9, these are invisible when watching TV and film content. FMM is again very accurate and even with some variance between panels, it has proven to be very consistent on LG models we have tested so far. Calibrated Optimised for the best response with movies, gaming and Smart TV, the LG OLED55CS6LA is a top performer with all content.

Whether you’re a box-set binger or a live sport lover, smart televisions put your favourite content in the palm of your hands. Key benefits of LG Smart TVs… WebOS: User-friendly platform makes finding your favourite content super-easy – with colour coded cards at the foot of the screen. Gaming Optimizer centralises all of your game settings. No matter what type of game you're playing, it automatically adapts the display to optimise graphics. You may also switch between NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync to make all of your games sharper and smoother, with less latency, stutter, and tearing. If you’re mad about movies, you’ll love Filmmaker Mode. Designed in collaboration with filmmakers and Hollywood studios, Filmmaker Mode lets you experience the cinematic vision, exactly as the director intended. Overriding the TV’s own motion and picture processing, Filmmaker Mode presents the correct aspect ratio, colour and frame rate – just as the filmmakers intended.Tuner regional difference. In this case single for several Western European countries. (6 is also for different countries in Europe, but still includes UK, also single). LG OLED displays have been certified as having 100 percent colour fidelity by renowned global testing organisation Intertek. This means that the colours you see on the screen are very near to the original image's hues. As a result, everything you see appears to be exactly as the designer intended.

Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 1st November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) When it comes to picture quality, OLED easily outperforms LED. This is due to OLED's millions of self-lit pixels, which allow for infinite contrast, 100 percent colour integrity, and pixel-perfect details. As a result, you'll have a watching experience unlike any other. The LG C1 is a stellar performer when it comes to high dynamic range, with the Filmmaker mode offering highly accurate images for HDR10 and HLG, while the Cinema mode does the same for Dolby Vision. The Cinema Home mode, which uses a built-in light sensor to adjust picture brightness based on dynamic content metadata, can prove particularly useful when watching during the day.Sports Alert sends you notifications prior to, during, and after games. You'll never have to worry about missing any of your favourite teams' big plays, even if you're watching something else. This year the G and C series models from LG are different in terms of picture quality, where in previous years it has just been cosmetic differences that has separated the series line-up. This year the G series has the OLED Evo panel and electronics which boasts higher peak brightness as well as a more relaxed ABL circuit. The C1 is not equipped with the same picture brightness, although some will share the Evo panel as the G1, they are not set up to take advantage of them. The full explanation is in the 65-inch C1 review if you are interested in finding out more. The processor recognises voices, sounds, and frequencies by learning from more than 17 million audio data points, allowing it to adjust sound by genre for a more immersive experience.

LG ThinQ is here to help you get the most out of your TV. Choose your preferred voice assistant and use your voice to control your TV with an all-new home screen that offers more convenience and control. The LG C1 boasts a surprisingly effective sound system considering its slimline chassis. Hidden inside is a 2.2-channel sound system with 40W of power, and thanks to the sloped stand the audio from the downward-firing speakers is redirected towards the listener, creating a decent front soundstage that has width and a degree of stereo separation. The C1 doesn’t feature the OLED Evo panel marketing that the G1 does and as such LG claims it is not as bright with HDR and doesn’t feature the slightly wider colour gamut capabilities. Internet rumours have suggested that the C1 does in fact have the same panel as the G1 but it is downgraded via the software in the processor. The strength of the LG OLED55C1 is its all round ability to cover a number of bases with superb picture quality, excellent smart TV system and class leading gaming features. It offers many things to many users and performs at an extremely high level in all the disciplines.

As a result, gameplay is exciting, smooth and tear-free. In addition, the inclusion of ALLM means the TV automatically switches to the low-latency Game Optimiser mode when compatible consoles are detected.
