About this deal

Participant prices are only valid if arriving in a Jaguar and taking part in the rally. They are not valid for those arriving on foot. Much appreciation for you assistance and effort. For anyone looking for an upgrade, I am pretty happy.with this combo. I have a Bose system and sound is.spot on with no interference. My friend has confirmed that it works in his 458 and he found a longer cable of the lightning to 30 pin cable-adapter which I will give a go in a couple of weeks when I take the car out from her winter-sleep. Compatible with Audi AMI, Mercedes Media Interface and VW MDI or any other cars with the original or aftermarket iPod integration installed that has a 30 pin iPod connector . Supports Airplay and A2DP Bluetooth music streaming protocol https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD824AM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter-02-m?fnode=96dcbbe2055e5b713be3a03b8e8eda5f7a5bd81102ba307a24a4ab3c263e356117bf3a062d1bf060db3c9f1abb5ffbc2c459fea9b6849f55e2adb7a5dc760cb095722b6b03ea145c6e2736fb12c837470f25472bc088a181b393bb759fc3c80f

wild guess based on some Experience and bit of understanding of how Bluetooth profiles work i would guess that android is always going to be “just sound“ when hooked up to the PCM 3 Disclaimer: Due to variations in the entertainment systems of different car models and production years compatibility can NOT be assured. Winner - glad you got it sorted, all good learning , and it cements what I guessed about the adapters and the interfaces and the bluetooth profiles - all learning and good info. I have an obsession with steering wheel controls for audio ( had an audi without for 13 years ) - so I like that one extra step for integration ( and as an iPhone user - I am working with different set of options/challenges). I totally get your setup and most importantly - works for you for approx 50 quid - no wrong answers there. The later is not needed if you only want to play music I guess, as the songs comes up on the right screen you should be able to switch songs using the buttons in the steering wheel. The issue I was having that affected both the invery and the bovee I think is iPhone specific - namely - it all works fine, phone calls go to the PCM, music goes to the adapter, but there is some interaction, and the music audio drops and sometimes the adapter resets and the car thinks the ipod went away - it's solved by disabling the Bluetooth phone side on the pcm - but then you lose that feature ( I don't use it often - but I like things to work as well as they can ) - so I went to a wired solution which works for iPhone with the right adapter but likely wouldn't work at all for Android) I have been around the loop on this with my setup. And I have gone to a wired solution ( happy to share/bore with the details if you want ) Wireless connection with any Apple device via special Bluetooth technology with automatic re-connection , no need to manually plug iPod in every time Temperamental for sure - as others have mentioned, generally I've found the most consistent way to get it to work is to disconnect the Bovee bluetooth specifically (but not shutting off bluetooth altogether), and then connecting it. After waiting for my phone to say it's connected, I use the behind the steering wheel button to change audio input to ipod, and it's usually there. I like to keep my right screen on speedo most of the time, so easier to use steering wheel button vs. navigating menus to select ipod

Jaguar Owners Club have a stand at this years Simply Jaguar event at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Hampshire on Sunday 26th June 2023 Please Note: The device will work with most cars that have 30 pin iPod integration kits. The easiest way to know for sure is to physically plug an iPod into your cars 30 pin cable. If it works then one of our devices can usually extend your iPod integration with Bluetooth capabilities.Steering controls and library support only supported for Apple devices. Music Streaming is compatible with all Bluetooth capable smart phones. I also found that if you are able to get the ipod input selected, if you then change out of ipod, it will no longer recognize / give you that option, and you have to restart the Bovee connection process againConnects iPhone/iPod and cars original iPod interface wirelessly using Bluetooth technology - no need to manually plug iPod in every time I've been trying to add Bluetooth functionality to my 2007 car that came from the factory with the BNS 5.0, Bose and the CD changer in the glovebox, but no aux input.

Hi everyone, this is my first post here outside the new members forum so fingers crossed this post is done correctly and apologies for the wall of text... the Issue as I see it it the head unit has no idea about Bluetooth. It knows ipod So it doesn’t have any idea about the Bluetooth remote protocol so can’t drive an android device Like it can drive an iphone.Note that we do have two entrances available, one is exhibitors gate at the bottom of the hill as you come in to Beaulieu, with the other being the normal Simply event entrance within the attraction. Either entrance is fine to use and both are open from 9.00am, with the exhibitors entrance closing around 11am. Please find attached your club label – please can this be distributed amongst your club members prior to the event. Please ensure that they print this label and display it in their windscreen upon entry to the event, this ensures that all members wishing to park within your club area are directed to the correct parking location by our stewards. Please do not modify or add logos to the club label. Display your entire iPod music library on your original car screen from your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch
