About this deal

Not many people are aware that brandy comes in different flavors, and cherry-flavored brandy happens to be one. This brandy is an amalgamation of maraschino cherries and Kirsch. So, it has all the flavors of Maraschino Liqueur. On this point see: Giorgetta Bonfiglio Dosio, La fabbrica di maraschino Francesco Drioli (1759–1943), Inventario dell' Archivio, cit. e cit in bibl.

Maraschino liqueur is unique. However, it’s not readily available. In such a situation, you can opt for a more readily available fruity liqueur, like an orange liqueur. It has the color of cherries, which makes it red. It is also sweeter than Maraschino. Hence, look for “true brandy” on the bottle before you buy it. Otherwise, it’ll be pretty sweet. 2. Kirsch Allow to cool, then pop them into your jar(s) and seal. Store in the fridge - they should keep for a while due to the alcohol in the syrup.Thankfully, the true Maraschino cherries survived Prohibition and are perfectly legal these days, and just as delicious as ever!

Historic Naming: “Sangue Morlacco” or "Morlacco Blood" isn’t merely an artistic nomenclature. Bestowed by the illustrious Italian poet Gabriele D’Annunzio in 1919, it stands as a tribute to the brave Morlaccos who defended the Venetian Republic against Turkish invaders. This rich historical connection adds depth to every sip. This cookie is set by Rubicon Project to control synchronization of user identification and exchange of user data between various ad services. Smooth but strong; a sweet liqueur with herbal, nutty and funky flavors. Not much of a cherry taste. A rounded taste and persistent aroma. Intense, flavorful finish. Maraschino is a famous liqueur, but it is not readily available in the majority of countries. So we have a list of substitutes for you to enjoy the same taste and flavor. 1. Instead, it has a distinct smooth yet intense flavor. On this point see: Marijan Maroja, Sumarni inventar Tvornica maraskina Francesco Drioli Zara (1768–1944), cit. in bibl. Maraschino cherries were first produced a few hundred years ago, in what is modern-day Croatia. To help conserve them, many fruits were preserved in a liqueur made by distilling the local sour cherries, grown in a place called Marasca. The liqueur itself (which is clear with a dry, almost almond flavour) also became known as Maraschino.
