About this deal

If you're looking for a more lightweight option, we've found storing your Quest 3 inside these microfiber bags is an effective method. We've also tried Aukiba's Quest 3 case, which uses a sturdy shell but isn't the most secure fit for your headset. While the cloth strap that ships with the Quest 2 might be considered good enough to start with, gamers who play a lot in VR will find that it leaves a lot to be desired. This is especially true if you're a power user that plays the best Quest 2 games for hours at a time or wants to use a mouse and keyboard in VR. The headset is just too front-heavy to be comfortable for long. A ratchet to tighten up the Quest 2 is helpful as well. You don't always want the head strap to be as tight as possible, but you need it to stay at the right tightness despite your jumping around.

The Quest 3 comes with a 1-metre USB-C-to-USB-C charging cable but if you're planning to play PC VR games through Quest Link, that simply isn't enough. If your WiFi isn't strong enough for Air Link or Virtual Desktop and you'd prefer an alternative, we'd recommend buying a 5m/16ft cable to avoid limiting your movement. Effortless maintenance design - KIWI design comfort head strap featuring a detachable top strap pad and head cushion with high-quality PU leather surface material allows easy cleaning and maintenance. Previously, we rounded up the Quest 3 accessories available at launch but we've since gone hands-on with different options and are confident in providing our recommendations. Alongside Meta's official accessories, expect more third-party options from companies over time, some of whom are included in the ' Made For Meta' program. We'll revisit them as more options become available. The result is the most comfortable, fog-free facial interface I've ever used on any VR headset. Better yet, because of KIWI's placement of the velcro pads that the actual pad uses to affix to the interface itself, you can swap out several different kinds of pads that might fit your personal needs better. I tried out some of the pads available from VR Cover, and they worked admirably, although the lower velcro locations are best suited for KIWI's own pads.

The best Meta Quest 2 head straps

Travel case. Very durable and I like how the zipper is oriented so you can hold your quest in there, close it up and leave it a bit open so a charging cable goes right to the charging port. If the zipper was the other way you couldn’t do it easily. Seamless compatibility design - KIWI design comfort head strap is highly adjustable and capable of fitting head sizes ranging from 17.7 to 29.5 inches. Clarity accross view is great, but when you look to the left and right you can see the space in between the lenses with one eye. I never noticed this in other headsets. It’s kind of like how you can see your nose irl, but only when you pay attention to it. This head strap pulls your head in close to the headset and even helps widen the headset's FOV. That means you'll immediately notice a slightly wider view of the virtual world, which is a huge advantage. Plus, since this is an Elite-style strap, it hugs your head and won't let up even through the craziest, most active games out there. Note: Virtual Desktop developer Guy Godin has reported an early issue with Quest 3 and how it connects over Wi-Fi. For now, it appears the headset has network performance issues with routers running in Wi-Fi 5 (AC) mode. The issue disappears when switching the router to Wi-Fi 6 (AX) or Wi-Fi 6e (AXE) mode. If you can get your hands on a Quest 3, you’ve got everything you need right in the box to start playing some of the best VR games out there. Once you’ve got a few hours under your belt though, you’ll probably notice a few things that definitely need improving, many of which can thankfully be solved with a few key aftermarket accessories. To top it off, the headset has super high-quality headphones built in that are easy to adjust and actually comfortable to wear for hours on end. That's because they sit right on the outside of your ears and don't apply pressure at all, which is far more comfortable than earbuds or regular headphones. Plus, the padding is ultra plush and gentle, making them comfortable for as long as you feel like playing.Meta doesn’t prevent other companies from introducing compatible products that compete with their own. Compare that to Apple, who patented their MagSafe magnetic power adapters, didn’t license it to anybody, and even sued a company that bought original Apple power adapters to cut off the MagSafe plug and attach it to a power bank for MacBooks, for patent violation. We’ll soon see if they allow AVP prescription lens inserts from other parties than their partner Zeiss, who will charge USD 300-600 for a pair. Meta plays very fair with the accessories, allowing competition and those that do a little research to get much cheaper alternatives, while providing decent quality for users that prefer to buy original accessories from the HMD manufacturer itself, be it for convenience, quality, service or appearance. Some Quest 3 accessories simply don't fit into one neat little category, so we wanted to ensure those were also accounted for. From Beat Saber to Walkabout Mini Golf accessories, here's what we've found so far.
