About this deal

The life choices of the sisters are compared and how they coped with their parents separation in their own way and how it effected those around them.

Margo is unashamedly sexual taking in lovers and it made a refreshing change to see an older woman portrayed this way. Even though her children view it very differently. Stacey Solomon, husband Joe Swash and their kids transform into The Wizard of Oz characters as they pose for sweet family snaps on Halloween Sisters Rachel, Imogen and Sasha seem to have everything, but their father Richard’s abrupt departure, and the fallout of their parent’s marriage, has stunted their emotional growth. Rachel is desperate to return to London, but is held hostage by responsibility for Sandcove, their beloved but crumbling family home.Sophia Bush recalls TERRIFYING paranormal experience while living with Austin Nichols in 'creepy haunted apartment': 'We both started to scream!' The story centres around Margo and her three daughters, whose lives all seem enviable from the outside, but all characters are working through their own issues and grappling with the past and their relationships with each other. The Garnett Girls is the first novel by British author, Georgina Moore. On vacation in Venice, where she (and her mother and sisters) expect William Bradbury will propose, Imogen Garnett finds their stay is not the idyllic one that she’s sure her parents had on their honeymoon. And when he asks her, she wavers, doesn’t actually say yes, even as her answer is assumed. Savannah Guthrie, 51, reveals fears about flaunting her legs in revealing Taylor Swift costume for Today's Halloween show A brilliant debut and powerful tale of sisterhood and home, set on the beautiful beaches of the Isle of Wight…

I also really enjoyed the role the Aunt played, she anchored the family in a way that was so authentic. At the centre of the story is Sandcove, the family home which Margo has since given to Rachel and her family. Not that it stops Margo from still treating the house like her own and holding court with a seemingly hedonistic lifestyle, despite having her own cottage ‘The Other Place’ nearby. Sandcove is almost a character in itself, a big rambling house, now needing repair, but it has always been home and its where Margo and the love of her life, Richard, began their family. Thank you to HarperCollins Australia for sending me a free advance readers copy of this novel; published 1 February 2023** It’s a writer’s life for me! By Judi Moore, winner of the WforW’s Georgina Hawtrey-Woore Fiction Award with Little Mouse As the sisters grow up and remain very close, each of them struggles in different ways to leave the past behind and come to terms with where their father fits in their life. I have sat down with Georgina Moore numerous times over the years to talk about books. Now deputy m.d. of Midas PR, and before that publicity director at Headline (a position she rose to at the tender age of 29), she is one of a select few publicists with wide influence, generous in her praise of writers beyond her own impressive roster. She has worked with numerous bestselling authors—among them Penny Vincenzi, Maggie O’Farrell and Hilary Clinton—but today, chatty and expansive as ever, she is here to talk about her own début novel The Garnett Girls when we meet at a private members’ club in Soho. We should probably be drinking negronis in the spirit of the novel, but settle instead for Earl Grey.

This is not how it was for me as a child. My parents worked overseas and I went to boarding school in the UK. My parents, in their 80s, are of a generation where separation was the norm, thanks to World War II.
