About this deal

iDevices created the iGrill mini, but the company sold its thermometer division to Weber in 2016. Now it’s called the Weber iGrill Mini and is a compact version of the Weber iGrill 2 Bluetooth meat thermometer. Not only have we tested the MEATER multiple time, but many of us also have it in our own kitchens. "You can choose from a list of pre-set temperature settings by food type and cook style—roasting, smoking, searing, etc —and you can create custom cook settings to save for later use," says Steven Schrimpf, our procurement and inventory manager. "I LOVE this feature as I am constantly experimenting with different recipes and methods." Still offering wireless connectivity, with bluetooth thermometers you can pair them with your smartphone or tablet. There are three physical components to a Bluetooth thermometer: The probe, cable, and the transmitter. I have owned and used this thermometer since late 2021, and I can honestly say I have no complaints about it whatsoever. I love everything about it, including its functionality, performance, and build quality.

Long-lasting Power: Powered by 2 AA batteries (included), the ToGrill Bluetooth Dome and Food Thermometer ensures you're always ready for your next grilling adventure. Bluetooth antenna are notoriously lousy in certain types of phones. We’v heard of people get much worse range with the Samsung Galaxy compared to similar phones fromHTC, LG and IPhones Thermoworks are known throughout the BBQ world for their high quality, professional products that are nothing short of excellent, and the Signals certainly lives up to this!We like the battery included, at 1000mAh it lasts well, charges easily with the included USB type C cable. Although this presents an interesting aspect of this device. It has a magnetic base that you need to remove from the display unit when you want to recharge it. What we are not sure about is; when you would want to remove it in general? It seems unnecessary. It does tilt the display to a nice angle for viewing and has a strong enough magnet to hold it in place well, so it is a well-made base unit. The Weber iGrill 2 Bluetooth thermometer has four probe ports, one for ambient grill temperature and three for meat. The thermometer handles temperatures between -22 °F (-30 °C) to 572 °F (300 °C), which is the typical range for meat thermometers.

Many devices, one framework. This was the biggest surprise in testing. We find that the BlueDot is the only device that features it’s own branded application. Although, GrillEye manages to display their logo upon launching the carbon-copied app. Oddly, half of them (Inkbird, AJY and Chugod) do not allow you to change the alert tone. To compound this, the alert tone that they used is very abrasive. UI/UX (User Experience / User Interface) Signals uses commercial-grade Pro-Series temperature probes to deliver better accuracy, faster response, wider temperature ranges and longer useful life. Cook more at once and worry less about the results with Signals. Ease of use, which with these is heavily dependent on the App, is it intuitive, does it makes sense and is it functional.Bluetooth connection can be spotty – This is standard for all Bluetooth thermometers, unfortunately. It’s just not a great technology when you combine heat radiation and distance. The range is fine for some people, while others will have issues depending on your individual house layout. When you talk to owners of the ET-735 they either love it or hate it. Initially the app was pretty poorly received with lots of issues with connectivity and very low range. Also, Wi-Fi thermometers can connect to the same network as your computer and smartphone, making it (potentially) viewable all over the house and beyond using your phone. Ergonomics will cover the design features, physical attributes and other attributes in the handling of the device. Believe it or not, having a thermometer can actually save you money on your grilling. If you cook at too high a temperature, or too low a temperature, you are more likely to ruin a cut of meat than you are to prepare a dish that everybody will want to eat. Ultimately, this means that you will have to prepare other dishes for people to eat if you want to make sure that they have been fully fed. Recently, Bluetooth meat thermometers have been on the rise, still offering that wireless goodness, but with the advantage of paying for the thermometer to your smartphone or tablet. There are basically two types of BBQ thermometer - those that provide an instant reading, and those that are designed to be left in the meat while you cook. An instant thermometer will give you a reading of the temperature as soon as you plunge the probe in. With a constant thermometer, you can enjoy advanced features, such as the ability to set alarms to go off when the meat reaches the desired temperature, further offering you a method of preventing the over cooking of your barbecue meat.Pairing your mobile phone or tablet with the thermometer is easy, and if you follow the directions correctly, you should be paired up and ready to go within minutes.
