Zinsser Perma White Mould Resisting Paint, a water-based self-priming acrylic paint, is a speciality paint formulated to resist mould and mildew for up to years. It forms a finish that is unaffected by moisture that weakens ordinary paint films, causing blistering and peeling as well as unsightly mildew. When incorporated into a paint film, glass microspheres act as miniature Thermos-like bottles, providing a thermal barrier between cold surfaces and the warmer ambient temperature within a living space. As the air is insulated against the colder wall surface, condensation and mould growth are drastically reduced. Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one and reaction mass of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2Hisothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1). May produce an allergic reaction. Warning! These glass bubbles (or spheres as they are also known) create a thermal barrier between the air in the room and cold wall surface once the paint has dried. PREPARATION – Ready for use on interior surfaces where mould has appeared. Before painting, the surface should be dry, clean and free from grease, dirt, rust and loose or flaking material.
