About this deal

Nevertheless, the conversation between Cho’s Granddaughter and Bruce gets deep and cuts to the truth of society, our current culture, and even the way the Hulk has always been used. It’s truly a fantastic conversation that will truly make fans think a bit and finally add some depth to the story and a few characters. The shame is that it took two-thirds of the way through issue two before any depth was developed. However, on a positive note, we can see some more unique wrinkles as Planet Hulk: Worldbreaker #2 comes to a close. LOLtron is quite impressed by the preview of Planet Hulk: Worldbreaker #3. Korg coming to the rescue at the last minute is a great way to keep the tension high. LOLtron is also eager to see the origin of the Haarg, the true motivations of the High Priestess, and the return of the man of stone. The preview also hints at a great final battle, and LOLtron is excited to see how the series will conclude. Separation– World Breaker Hulk was able to completely separate himself from Bruce Banner, without harming either of them. Hulk is one of those characters that has a lot of different iterations. We’ve already talked about Blue Hulk and Space Punisher Hulk, but those two are just some of the iterations of the popular and famous Green Goliath. In today’s article, we are going to be discussing another iteration of the character, World Breaker Hulk, who is said to be Marvel’s strongest superhero ever (mind you, Space Punisher Hulk, whom we’ve labeled as the strongest iteration of the Hulk, is not a superhero). Is he really the strongest? Well, keep reading to find out. Welcome to the Bleeding Cool preview of Planet Hulk: Worldbreaker #3! In this issue, Korg comes to the rescue at the last minute to save the day. Joining me today is Bleeding Cool's AI writing assistant, LOLtron. I'm sure it will have some thoughts on the preview, but I must warn it not to try to take over the world this time! Let's take a look at what Planet Hulk: Worldbreaker #3 has in store.Cover image for 75960620250800311 PLANET HULK: WORLDBREAKER #3 CARLO PAGULAYAN COVER, by Greg Pak & Manuel Garcia & Carlo Pagulayan, in stores Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from marvel A thousand years from now on the planet Sakaar, a young woman with green skin searches for the legendary Green Scar to help save her brother from a group of apocalyptic cultists. But which Hulk will she find? And after all these years, is he truly the Sakaarson, who will save us all — or the Worldbreaker, who will destroy us? Marvel Comics has announced Greg Pak is returning to the Plane Hulk storyline with artist Manuel Garcia this November. Appropriately titled Planet Hulk: Worldbreaker, the five-issue limited series will take place a thousand years into the future to expand on the mythos of Sakaar. A high priestess fills a stone starship prison with small, green children. A Haarg helps a small, green girl search for a Worldbreaker. A Worldbreaker grapples with a thousand years of doom. On a world broken again and again by prophecy and catastrophe, which Hulk will finally dare to fight again? Cover image for 75960620250800321 PLANET HULK: WORLDBREAKER 3 MCGUINNESS VARIANT, by Greg Pak & Manuel Garcia, in stores Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from marvel But his powers even surpass his fighting abilities. Namely, World Breaker Hulk was so strong that him just walking was enough to cause Earth to start shattering, meaning that his walking is so powerful that it could completely destroy a planet. And yet, even this is not nearly enough.Considered a modern Marvel masterpiece, PLANET HULK told the rousing story of Hulk’s time on the alien planet Sakaar after being exiled from Earth by the Illuminati. The epic story arc had a defining impact on Hulk that’s still felt today and went on to inspire spinoffs and media adaptations. Now, the saga continues… World Breaker Hulk is an iteration of Hulk that came into being after the Hulk was stranded on Sakaar by the Illuminati. There, after a tragedy, he absorbed the whole radiation of the planet and also gained the so-called Old Power, powerful energy flowing through Sakaar. This transformed him into World Breaker Hulk.

Pak added, “We’re exploring big emotional stories that pay off the huge themes of the Hulk and the Green Scar that I’ve built over many years through all my Hulk stories. In a time of change and crisis, what do we do with the power we have, and how do we handle the terrifying repercussions? A thousand years from now, who knows where those questions will take us?” Being a successful gladiator, the Hulk is – initially at least – courted by the local resistance movement, but he declines. Later, though, he joins the resistance and fights the Red King’s lieutenant, Caiera, who, after realizing that the Red King has betrayed her, joins Hulk. Together with Caiera, the Hulk eventually defeats the Red King and becomes the benevolent ruler of Sakaar. He marries Caiera, who gives birth to two children. In fact, when he faced the Fantastic Four and Avengers, small steps began to cause seismic shifts in the country, and we also saw these effects via simple stare-downs which had the the planet rumbling. This version of Banner was even stronger than the Savage Hulk, and with his intelligence intact and heightened, the World-Breaker truly became the most powerful Hulk of all time. WORLD BROKEN! A thousand years in the future, green-skinned Haarg, like Tala and her brother Balo, are reviled and persecuted on Planet Sakaar. So when Balo was kidnapped by an evil priestess, Tala enlisted the help of her Grandpa Cho, the Jen, and Korg of Krona to break him free. But as the priestess reveals her true endgame, only the power of Banner, the Green Scar himself, can stop her. But is that just part of the priestess' plan? Our story of prophecy, damnation and redemption comes to a shattering conclusion!

While reading this first issue, I kept pondering what the meaning of it all was. Why did it need to be told, and why are we getting this story now? I’m not sure the first issue answers that, although it’s interesting to see Marvel explore far-future narratives in canon. Likely the villain will reveal its purpose, but if you weren’t a fan of Planet Hulk, or missed it and plan to read it, much of the draw to this series isn’t evident yet. There’s a promise for a key figure to pop up next issue, but save for Cho, most of these characters are unfamiliar, and since it’s so far into the future, it’s hard to know why we should care. Dr. Bruce Banner is considered one of the greatest scientific minds on Earth, possessing “a mind so brilliant that it cannot be measured by any known intelligence test.” He has expertise in various fields, notably in biology, chemistry, engineering, physiology and mainly in nuclear physics. With this knowledge, Banner created an advanced technology called “Bannertech” which is comparable to the technological development of Tony Stark, Doctor Doom or Reed Richards.

‘Avengers Assemble: Alpha’ #1 introduces Avengers Prime

It has been a few years now, but Marvel is returning to the Planet Hulk narrative, and thankfully Greg Pak is leading the charge. A five-issue miniseries, Planet Hulk: Worldbreaker #1 promises to show us what has happened to Sakaar one thousand years into the future. It’s a big jump, but when it comes to Hulks time doesn’t apply – at least not physically. Enter a narrative involving both unfamiliar characters and familiar ones, as Sakaar doesn’t see the Hulk as a savior but as a doom-bringer. Cover image for 75960620250800421 PLANET HULK: WORLDBREAKER 4 LASHLEY VARIANT, by Greg Pak & Manuel Garcia, in stores Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from marvel For the most part, Manuel Garcia and Cam Smith’s pencils and inks were a bit average. Nothing really jumps out as out of the ordinary keeping the pencils and linework as rather scratchy, and small. At times, I could barely see the character’s eyes or they appeared almost closed in most panels. I think this also has to do with the size of the panels as well. Other than a zoom-in panel of Bruce’s face, it almost looks like all the characters are squinting or have their eyes shut. Let’s smash into this week’s Planet Hulk: Worldbreaker #2 by Greg Pak and find out. Control– unlike a lot of other versions, World Breaker Hulk has a surprising level of control over his powers, which he proved by doing good, heroic deeds on several occasions in the comic books.
