After the battle, Yuta is surprised to find himself still alive. Gojo explains Rika did not curse Yuta; rather, when Rika died, Yuta accidentally cursed her using hidden energy he inherited from the figure Sugawara no Michizane, forcing her to remain by his side. I love this story too. It was simple but perfect to portray Yuuji's characterization. In the manga and anime, he's always portrayed as kindhearted, sympathetic, perceptive, and understanding, but this story (along with the fourth story) affirmed it by providing other good examples.
