Remove wording in header

Postby thebaht » Fri Jan 27, 2012 2:46 pm

I updated my footer code with an address and then the same text was duplicated into the header but now I cannot remove the text from the header and it is disrupting the menu. the site is http://comfyfrog.com if anybody has any solutions it would be much appreciated.

It shows me that it is in this file - frontend/default/universalshop/template/page/html/header.phtml but when I open this file there is nothing that relates to the wording:

Code: Select all
<!-- Header -->
    <div class="d8-header">

       <h1 id="logo"><a href="<?php echo $this->getUrl('') ?>"><img src="<?php echo $this->getLogoSrc() ?>" alt="<?php echo $this->getLogoAlt() ?>" /></a></h1>
          <div class="d8-topright">
           <p class="d8-welcome"><?php echo $this->getWelcome() ?></p>
            <div class="clear"></div>
         <div class="right"><?php echo $this->getChildHtml('topLinks') ?><!-- a class="d8-checkout" onclick="setLocation('/checkout/onepage/')">Checkout</a--></div>
        </div>

        <div class="clear"></div>
        <div class="d8-navigation">
           <?php echo $this->getChildHtml('topMenu') ?>
       </div>

    </div>
    <div class="clear"></div>

Do you have ssh access to your files?

if so run this from command line

grep -r "Sukhumvit" .

it will then find all files that have that word in it

This piece of code resides inside your header - menu code and I bet it does not belong there:

<div class="d8-cmslinks">
<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;">3/22 - 25 Sukhumvit Road, (Opposite Ford) 038 321 526</span></div>
<ul>
<li><a href="http://www.comfyfrog.com/about-magento-demo-store">About Us</a></li>
<li class="last"><a href="http://www.comfyfrog.com/customer-service">Customer Service</a></li>
</ul></div>

Do you perhaps have some code in a static block with a name something like cmslinks?
Otherwise you mght want ot have a look at a fiel named ../catalog/navigation/top.phtml.

Hi Thanks for the replies!

It was working again fine but has now reappeared?

I have changed the footer_links static block but the Header file has remained the same, what would I remove from the top links file?

Kind regards!
