About this deal

Also considered Algoriddim’s version of “Loop Roll”, Bounce Loop works by activating various loop lengths when pressing any of the pads. The modes include Hot Cue, Auto Loop, Touch FX, Sampler, Slicer, Bounce Loop, Neural Mix and Looper. With the exclusion of slicer, which requires further setting up on the iPad, these functions all work well. The integration with Algoriddim Djay’s display however could heavily be improved upon. A super useful feature effect, the Touch FX is a one-touch effect button that immediately turns on a designated effect when pressing the button.

Neural Mix is a great feature for the Reloop Buddy controller with a lot of cool aspects that make it super fun to play with. Not only that, but since there are two entirely separate methods of using this mode, it has a lot of additional flexibility depending on what you want to do. #8. Looper The software does say that there is a third, “middle”, EQ knob, however, the Reloop simply just didn’t include it as an aspect for whatever reason. This method is ideal for those that don’t plan to do a ton of moving around once set up. the iDevice’s power works to flow power to the controller and your device of choice (iPad or iPhone). Before you can choose the best micro or mini DJ controller, you first need to understand what a “compact controller”, “micro DJ controller” or “mini controller” actually is.You can control the headphones volume using one of the three knobs on the right-hand edge of the controller, and control the mix between the cued sound and the master output by turning the second knob (the master volume knob is the third knob here). Looping On a physical note, the “high” EQ knob is very close to the iPad screen, so you’ll need to be careful not to accidentally touch something on the screen when using it. The effects paddles – the two switches directly above the upfaders – turn the currently selected effect on or off. Push up for a permanent “on”, pull down for a momentary “on”. The jogwheels work in the standard way, with the top of each jog allowing you to scratch, and the edges allowing you to nudge. The tempo faders are short (shorter than the DDJ-200), but smooth and fairly accurate. Using EQ & filter

Performance pads: Performance pads allow users to instantly trigger things like hot cues, slicer, sampler, and roll features. You can also hit shift to access different functions. You may have fewer performance pads on a micro-DJ controller. The Looper performance feature is another big selling point for the Reloop Buddy controller, albeit to a lesser degree than the Neural Mix. Whether you're just starting out or your well versed in mixing and DJ'ing, the Reloop Buddy has something to offer everyone. Become the life of the party with this compact yet intuitive DJ controller. The highly responsive jog wheels and precision controls make it easier than ever to mix your favourite tunes. Onboard filters and FX allow you to create seamless transitions and drops that will set the crowd alight with energy.

DJ Education & Community

The size of the Reloop Ready is perfect, around the same size as a 13-inch laptop. You can use this device with your laptop on a plane or train easily, and a built-in audio interface means you can plug speakers and headphones in. Software: Your micro DJ controller needs to work perfectly with the software you prefer to use. There are tons of great options out there, including Serato, Traktor, Virtual DJ, and many others. The one you choose is likely to be a matter of personal preference. It’s also for you if you want the best possible control over the new Neural Mix function in djay Pro. You’ll need to be prepared to tolerate only having control over two of the three EQs from the unit itself (which we didn’t like at all) – and you’ll have to be cool with paying slightly over the odds for it.

To do this, you’ll need to find an OTG power adaptor. This is also known as an “on-the-go” adaptor. After you’ve found one, you’ll use the USB-A to USB-B to connect the controller with the adaptor. The FX paddles allow you to take hands-on control of studio-grade effects. The paddle design makes it feel like you’re controlling your FX with force with two modes available: Hold and Toggle. These paddles allow you to control effects such as reverb, delay, echo and many more. Onboard filtering and looping with intuitive navigation. This turns the eight pads into Neural Mix “switches”. The top row turn the corresponding Neural Mix function on and off when tapped, and the bottom row turn the corresponding Neural Mix function on only when held. In that way, they do the same thing for Neural Mix as the paddles do for FX. There are only three knobs per mixer channel, so no independent channel gains – users of this controller will be quite happy with software auto gain, so no great loss there. It does mean you only get two-band EQ, though, which is a bigger loss. (One of the knobs is mapped to Filter.) For something a little more advanced, you might want to look into the Reloop Ready or the Pioneer DJ DDJ200. It pairs particularly well with djay Pro AI running on iPad, because it also has a built-in iPad stand (a slot at the rear of the unit), making the combination of iPad and Reloop Buddy a particularly neat, portable DJing solution. (You will have to pop your iPad out of its case to slot it in, though.)
