About this deal

A battered heart has Emmanuelle coming to Cherish. Her friend Dorothy told her it is a safe place to come and heal. Dorothy's brother Nicholas has a soft spot for Emmanuelle. She is one who helped him through a tough period and now that she is in Cherish, could this be his chance to win her heart? This is a sweet, inspirational story that weaves relevant issues into their wonderful romance. Emmanuelle has a lot to deal with and overcome before she can trust again, no matter that Nicolas is a great man. Nicholas knows what he wants and he will nudge her along to get it. I love their budding relationship(especially the dinners and the dog!). It's a great story for the holiday season. Yet this okay holiday feature makes it so memorable for another dose of mediocre? Hallmark, please rethink this one.

Instead, the couple have been living in the same apartment building for the past year (apparently, this sequel is set in December 2018). And Darcy's second Xmas Eve as the manager of Chaucer's Bookstore is threatened with being tarnished by the Scrooge-like selling of a beloved recreation center. On top of which, they have to help Mrs. Henley entertain her visiting nephew who (initially, anyway) puts the "brat" in military brat, due to being separated from his deployed parents. Now she's in Cherish, even more stunning in person. Yet she's holding tight to a private pain she refuses to reveal. Nicholas resolves to be patient, vowing he'll never let anyone hurt her again. Even when her past rears its ugly head to destroy what's left of her heart. How they go about it, while trying to keep their first Xmas presents secret from each other, provides most of the entertainment for this sequel.* There's also another cameo by author Melissa Hill, as the rec center's owner's administrative assistant. And the finger-crossing I did, for the ending I wished to see...worked. Strengthening my hope that this will become another classic Xmas trilogy for Hallmark (a la the "Father Christmas" stories with Erin Krakow).

With so many wonderful Hallmark Christmas movies why did Hallmark chose this one to make into a two parter? Her first book, Sister Peters in Amsterdam, was published in 1969, and by dint of often writing four books a year, she eventually completed 134 books. She was always quite firm upon the point that the Dutch doctors who frequently appeared in her stories were *not* based upon her husband, but rather upon an amalgam of several of the doctors she met while nursing in Holland. Is it an entirely bad film? No. The production values still manage to be pleasing. It's not too drab or garish in photography, the editing didn't seem rushed or disorganised and the scenery has a real charm to it. Some of the music has some pleasant nostalgic moments.

Her friend Dorothy told her Cherish is a safe haven. But she never expected Dorothy's brother, Deputy Nicholas Thompson, would relight the one thing she thought she'd lost forever: a spark of hope. A Gift to Cherish', or 'Cherished Memories: A Gift to Remember 2', sadly is not near as good as the first and shows that there were Hallmark sequels that were not good or necessary. It is a long way from being among the worst that Hallmark has ever done, but it has almost all the common flaws of Hallmark's films that the first film on the most part avoided and is devoid of what made the first work as well as it did. It was almost as if in places that the first never existed. When Emmanuelle Sumter steps off the train in Cherish, South Carolina - a town simply glowing with the promise of Christmas - she finds herself praying God will help her find the broken pieces of her life. Shattered, like her beloved harp, her dreams, and her trust in men. Betty Neels was born on September 15, 1910 in Devon to a family with firm roots in the civil service. She said she had a blissfully happy childhood and teenage years.(This stood her in good stead later for the tribulations to come with the Second World War). She was sent away to boarding school, and then went on to train as a nurse, gaining her SRN and SCM, that is, State Registered Nurse and State Certificate of Midwifery.Horrible, horrible movie. The best part was the end, the very end. You know, the Credits. Hard Pass on anymore movies out of this series. A Gift to Remember is absolutely delightful, and I enjoy watching it every year. Unfortunately, the sequel was a big disappointment. It's not entirely unexpected, because how can you make the story interesting with no drama or amnesia? This one takes place one year after the original, and the Darcy and Aiden (Ali Liebert and Peter Porte) are spending their first Christmas together as a couple. You'll still see Mrs. Henley, Luigi, Nurse Nancy, and Bailey. Mrs. Henley has a large role, as she's taking care of her nephew while his parents are deployed over the holiday. Found myself liking the first film a lot, actually was not expecting to and certainly not to the extent it turned out. It is a perfect example of the equivalent of not judging a book by its cover as it did turn out to be more than the typical Hallmark film that was in all honesty expected. Actually do like a number of Hallmark's films, though they certainly did a lot of average films and misfires, and the 'Finding Father Christmas' sequels proved that they could do sequels well. When the war finally ended, she and her husband were repatriated to Holland. As his family had believed he had died when his ship went down, this was a very emotional homecoming. The small family lived in Holland for 13 years, and Betty resumed her nursing career there. When they decided to return to England, Betty continued her nursing and when she eventually retired she had reached the position of night superintendent.

The first movie was great. This is not even close to that. Of all the Hallmark movies I've seen, probably 100's, this is the worst one, by far! Bad writing and terrible execution from Ali Liebert. All the other characters were fine, even the unbelievable little boy. However, Ali Liebert...was absolutely horrible. While they were better in the first film, with more of a natural chemistry, Ali Liebert and Peter Porte are still engaging in the lead roles and bring everything to the material without trying too hard. The ending was quite nice. From USA Today best-selling author Josie Riviera comes a new contemporary Christian romance series set in the small town of Cherish, South Carolina. These sweet and wholesome stories, where God is at the center, brim with love and laughter. It might not have been perfect! But, first sequels rarely equal the movie that inspired them. What made A GIFT TO REMEMBER so memorable was the element of mystery surrounding Aidan's real name. But, as most of those who saw AGTR already know, that particular mystery was solved. Not long ago, while Nicholas' sister was in rehab, Emmanuelle's voice and smile on his Skype screen held him together. After that, she seemed to disappear, an absence he felt keenly when his ex-fiancée left his faith in God dented but not broken. I really don't understand of all the previous Hallmark movies why A Gift to Remember needed a sequel and why there was so much hype around this particular one. Hallmark is cranking out so many sub-par movies why not revisit the ones that were made a few years ago and were really good? I'm not trying to be overly critical but for a sequel this really didn't live up to the original.

A Crown for Christmas-how did Allie adjust or change the crown once she married? And who can not forget Christmas Under Wraps. It begged for more story to see if Lauren made the "discovery" of the real Garland, Alaska. Ho-Ho-Ho. The only reason I don't give this a perfect ten? Bailey the Dog is clearly a much-younger impostor! Aside from that, however, this is still a sequel worth watching.
