About this deal

This is great for repetitive working, to prevent strain on hands and wrists. Not so great for small or one off jobs as the benefits don’t shine through in short duration working. Speed-e 2 has a higher torque mode/switch and a better light on it, a ring as opposed to a single led.

This tool has a very specific use, it is for electrical accessories and terminal screws. It is not designed to screw into wood or rawl plugs etc. The low torque account for this. All information relating to products from Wiha Werkzeuge GmbH. Technical and optical modifications of the manufacturer and errors reserved. Such an improvement on labour and time, more noticeably when second fixing or doing eicrs. You remain in full control of the screwdriver, still able to use feel to ascertain the tightness of terminals. Out the box loved this tool was great. Definitely think it's a grower and the more you use it the more it becomes your tool of choice.Set Includes: SpeedEII electric handle | 8 SlimLine Blades: Slotted 3.5, 5.5mm Phillips #1 #2 Square #1, #2 Terminal Xeno #1, #2 | Adapter Plug | Battery charger with plug adapter | 2 Replaceable/rechargeable lithium-ion batteries in custom fit storage box

The tool is expensive so you fully expect a good quality build and reliable performance. However the torque is very weak and struggles to tighten any terminals or loosen them. The overall feel of the tool is bulky and not the best to handle. Torque settings - there are none. It would be ideal to have 2 or 3 standard torque settings to suit accessories and MCBs/RCBOs. I have also had a squeak develop with the switch.Simple use tool. Easy to understand, insert batteries and switch bits over.Excellent setting for the torque of the driver, stops perfectly for small terminals e.g. control panels/thermostats etc To compare it to anything, think of a child's play toy electric screwdriver. However comparing the two would be unfair on the child's toy!A family of E-specialists - and a team of exceptional players: The ElectricVario Family by Wiha unites all the fastening tools you need for every challenge in your job. These include many new members to complete the team. Quite comfortably the worst tool to reach the market. How a development team get paid to come up with this is unbelievable.

The bits are to the same high quality as the rest of the Wiha screwdriver bits. For my job (fire systems engineer) it is perfect as some of the terminations are in tight enclosures, with thumb and finger operation of the powered part it easily tightens the termination. Comes in a very sturdy case keeping it all safe when being stored. The screw driver is built solid and the bits slide in to the very strong holder.

Negative- it’s not strong enough all the time. Not the end of the world to loosen a screw but it would be niceGreat features with the light at the end of the screw driver which makes life a lot better. I have noticed with the 2.0 that the light is larger great improvement. It fits nicely in the hand, the small light is useful and the rotation button easy to use. The slim bits fits nicely within the SpeedE however I do recommend putting a little grease on the fitting end, this will stop the o-ring being pulled out when removing the slim bit. How ever, I have the speede version 1, although I understand the fundamentals behind it, it does need abit more guts and feels a tad underpowered doesn’t need much more, also although the light is good it could do with staying on a little while longer after the trigger has been used, Protects your health: For hand- and muscle-protecting work. Recommended by German doctors and therapists of the AGR!

Had my speede a few months now, great little tool, saves on the wrists, good for working in panels and working at arms length, the light is a handy feature, good build quality, nice to handle. All you have to do is register the speedE s Serial number Which is around the base of the driver ie SDO122D It also fitted in well with my existing collection of manual Wiha slimbit drivers, including the Stubby, Slimvario, and the 38611 six-bit screwdriver. Between them I had enough variety, and slimbit sizes, for many jobs I encounter and the ability to get into tight spots. Well built, sturdy tool as you’d expect from Wiha. unfortunately I feel needs more power for undoing and tightening screws. I received it as a member of the Wiha Pro club but would say it is too expensive to pay full price.
