About this deal

GI bleeding, ulceration or perforation, which can be fatal, has been reported with all NSAIDs at any time during treatment, with or without warning symptoms or a previous history of serious GI events.

Q severe sore throat with high fever. Q unexplained bruising or tiredness or getting more infections (such as colds) than usual. Children aged 10 to 12 years: 300mg three times daily. Maximum dose: 30mg/kg or 2.4g daily in three to four divided doses. In limited studies, Ibuprofen appears in breast milk in very low concentration and is unlikely to affect breast-fed infants adversely. Ibuprofen comes in a standardised 100mg per 5ml formulation, such as Calprofen or Nurofen For Children, which can be given to children aged three months or older and who weigh more than 5kg, with dosage depending on their age.Anti-inflammatory painkillers like ibuprofen are also called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or sometimes just 'anti-inflammatories'. Ibuprofen is used to treat painful conditions such as arthritis, sprains and strains, period (menstrual) pain, migraine headaches, dental pain, and pain after surgical operations. It eases pain and reduces inflammation. Ibuprofen can also be used to relieve cold and 'flu-like' symptoms including high temperature (fever). It can be taken by adults and by children over the age of 3 months. Very rarely, NSAIDS may cause serious blistering or peeling skin reactions (eg Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis, exfoliative dermatitis). For this reason, you should stop using this medicine and consult your doctor if your child gets a skin rash or sores inside the mouth after taking this medicine. Calprofen should not be used if your child is allergic to any of its ingredients. If you feel your child has experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately. Who should get medical advice before usingCalprofen? Anti Malaria Malaria is a serious tropical disease spread by mosquitoes. If it isn’t diagnosed and treated promptly, it can be fatal. A single mosquito bite is all it takes for someone to become infected. Symptoms of malaria It’s important to be aware of the symptoms of malaria if you’re travelling to areas where there’s a high risk of the disease. Symptoms include: 1. A high temperature of 38C or above 2. Feeling hot and shivery 3. Headaches 4. Vomiting 5. Muscle pains 6. Diarrhoea Symptoms usually appear between 7 and 18 days after becoming infected, but in some cases the symptoms may not appear for up to a year, or occasionally even longer. When to seek medical attention Seek medical help immediately if you develop symptoms of malaria during or after a visit to an area where the disease is found. You should still seek medical help even if it’s several weeks, months or a year after you return from travelling. If there’s a possibility you have malaria, a blood test will be carried out to confirm whether or not you’re infected. You should receive the results of your blood test on the same day. If you have malaria, treatment will…

Clinical studies suggest that use of ibuprofen, particularly at a high dose (2400 mg/day) may be associated with a small increased risk of arterial thrombotic events (for example myocardial infarction or stroke) (see section 4.4).Ibuprofen should be used with caution in the first and second trimesters. Schaefer (2015) considers that use of NSAIDs in early pregnancy does not require termination of pregnancy or invasive diagnostic procedures. Q stroke or heart problems may occur with Ibuprofen, but this is very unlikely at the doses given to children. Suitable For: Suitable for 3 months to 12 years kids. Strawberry flavor, which starts to work on fever in just 15 minutes and lasts for up to 8 hours. Calprofen Hot Liquid Powder sachets to treat your symptoms day and night. Ibuprofen is a prostaglandin synthetase inhibitor and may have effects during the second and third trimesters, including pulmonary and cardiac toxicity in the foetus/newborn from the beginning of the sixth month and increases in risk if administration is close to full term. Other effects also include, functional renal injury in the foetus, inhibition of uterine contractions with delayed onset and prolongation of labour, increased possibility of bleeding in mother and child, and increased risk of maternal oedema formation. When used in the perinatal period, necrotising enterocolitis and intraventricular haemorrhages have been reported in very pre-term and very low birth weight infants. Lactation Serious skin reactions, some of them fatal, including exfoliative dermatitis, erythema multiforme, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis, have been reported very rarely in association with the use of NSAIDs (see section 4.8). Patients appear to be at highest risk of these reactions early in the course of therapy, the onset of the reaction occurring in the majority of cases within the first month of treatment. Acute generalised exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) has been reported in relation to ibuprofen-containing products. Ibuprofen should be discontinued at the first appearance of skin rash, mucosal lesions or any other sign of hypersensitivity.
