If this guy went to five proms with five diffrerent dates, what possible reason would he have for then going after someone his brother cares for? What kind of person does this? With all the girls he could have, he wants the one he shouldn't have. He seems unfeeling of his brother who has always had a more difficult time dealing with things. In Jeremiah’s point of view, he recalls how much Belly had changed the previous summer. She arrived at the summerhouse suddenly mature and beautiful, and he began to see her in a romantic light, even though she only had eyes for Conrad. He felt resentful that she would choose Conrad over him and even more jealous of the fact that, after years of ignoring her, Conrad suddenly showed an interest in Belly. Although she attempts to convince herself otherwise, Belly is wrought with guilt following her subtle yet dramatic encounters with Conrad: first with the peaches and then when she nurses his surfing wound. I enjoyed The Summer I Turned Pretty but sometimes founds the characters are little annoying. But in this installment of the series the characters have grown and the story seems a little deeper and more meaningful.Conrad asks his former employer and dear friend, Ernie, “Do you really believe in that? That people are meant to be with one person?” How would you answer this question? Do you believe in soul mates, or is it possible to love more than one person over your lifetime? Is it possible to love more than one person at the same time? Belly considers this possibility, when she realizes that she has feelings of love for both Jeremiah and Conrad. How would you explain this? In natural Belly fashion ( we love our chaos queen), she did not follow through with this. She found Conrad lying in his ex-girlfriends lap, and all that strength went right out the window.
