If you find the Invincible Run too unstable, expensive or fragile, the Structure 24 is a great alternative.There is a significant amount of outsole rubber and there is no wear even on my left shoe even after 55 miles. Although not listed as a stability shoe, there is a solid amount of pressure along the medial side of the shoe. The best thing about the Structure 24 is that it doesn’t feel like a firm, stiff stability trainer that pokes your arch. I caution those who are sensitive to these as I have begun to notice it slightly more as the heel collar padding breaks in.

OUR VERDICT The Nike Air Zoom Structure 24 is a supportive neutral trainer which can handle most types of runs. The 23 felt much more cushioned and much more flexible; I liked the new direction that the Structure had gone in. I feel that the padding is slightly excessive and that a lot of weight could be shed if it was more minimal. Outside of that, the upper is fairly seamless, fitting comfortably against the foot and stretching well. For trainers and performance trainers, we take them on daily runs, workouts, recovery runs and a long run prior to review (often accumulating anywhere from 20-50 miles in the process).

That’s exactly what they did with the Kayano Lite but at least they still kept the regular Kayano for runners who still want traditional stability.

The ride is firm throughout and is better for easy/recovery runs due to the heavier and less responsive nature.

There is no official post in this shoe, but there is noticeable pressure along the medial heel and midfoot in this shoe. The cushioning property comment though is not as valid, as the rearfoot is still extremely firm in the Nike Structure 24. If you don’t have the Structure 23, the two versions are so similar that you can save money and get the 23 instead of the 24. The outsole of the Structure 24 has hard, carbon rubber on its heel and softer blown rubber on its midfoot and forefoot.
