But, besides the Feegeeans, Tongatobooarrs, Erromanggoans, Pannangians, and Brighggians, and, besides the wild specimens of the whaling-craft which unheeded reel about the streets, you will see other sights still more curious, certainly more comical. There weekly arrive in this town scores of green Vermonters and New Hampshire men, all athirst for gain and glory in the fishery. The extent of sloppiness in the approach to the language in this book made it unreadable. Towards the end of her story, Kerry mentions that "the viewing public aren't stupid"; it's a shame that her reading public are being treated as if we were. Only dropped a star due to the publishers not proof reading it. Missing words and punctuation left me guessing what sentence were supposed to say. I’ve informed the publishers so they can correct this for future print runs.
