The fact it comes with IPX5 means it can even handle the odd pool splash if you’re using it by the outdoor pool we all got in that heatwave. I would have preferred some colour choices in the speaker but that might come in time. I would have also liked to have been able to connect to a second speaker for that stereo sound.

Don't forget you can wirelessly pair two of these together if you fancy a mini festival in the garden. This speaker is about the same size as a large can of baked beans (89x89x106mm). It’s made of plastic with a plastic rim around the top and the bottom of the speaker that is designed so the speaker will stay where you want it because of the shape of the plastic either end. You then have the middle section of the speaker covered in a mesh covering around the speaker with 4 rubberised buttons on the front. The 2x 5-watt speakers and cylindrical design allow for a 360 degree sound experience as you can use this speaker either vertical as the speaker is placed on one of the rubberised ends or you can have it horizontal but it does not affect the sound as you have a raised rubber base. This speaker also allows you to answer a call via the play button and the call quality when tested was decent call quality, so I can’t complain.

I have played all the normal songs I play in a review and my opinion about the speaker is it does offer a rich overall sound profile that gives you a low-end base when the sound is about 50%. However, when you pump up the speaker to the max volume the highs just feel a little distorted and the overall sound feels a little tinny.

Sound quality for the JuiceBoom Pro offers a beefy bass but the mid-range is slightly off. If the volume at max the sound can be a little muddled and can become a little distorted.

Accessories wise you get the USB-C charge cable and a fabric carry case when you’re not using the speaker. It’s a nice addition as am all about keeping my tech safe when not in use. I also listen to a regular podcast on the speaker and it worked very well there no dropouts and the vocals come across nice and clear and at times I thought I had a more expensive speaker. Battery wise you get a 2200 mAh which offers 14 hours of battery life and Juice is true to their word when testing the speaker I gave it a full charge which took about 2.5 hours and then timed my usage with this speaker and got the 14 hours of battery life they said. When you start eating into the battery life you will be able to see the amount of battery life left indicated by the number of LEDs on.
