About this deal

With built-in microphones in each speaker bar, you get hands-free voice control right out of the box, so you can use simple commands such as "Hey Google" to change channels, turn up the volume or search for shows on Netflix or YouTube. This should come in handy when you're busy killing the monsters in your game.

Google TV also comes with Google Assistant built-in. The TCL TV doesn’t itself react to a ‘Hey Google’ command, but uses the remote control as a microphone extension. Press the Google Voice key on the remote, hold and speak, and you can make useful requests like ‘Switch to HDMI 1’ or ‘Mute’, ‘Unmute’ and so on. Given its video integration, Google answers questions like a Google smart display rather than a smart speaker – and presents similar quirks. It works with HDMI 2.1 inputs and provides an ultra-smooth gaming experience. The TV also has a native 120Hz panel with an auto game mode that synchronises the screen's audio and visual performance, so you can have a seamless and immersive gaming experience. With most out of the box niggles with the 65C845K’s pictures fixable via the picture set up menus, the fact that the 65C845K leaves a little wiggle room for much more expensive Mini LED TVs to claim a picture quality advantage, though, in truth barely detracts at all from the simple fact that its pictures are almost stupidly good for its money. Sound QualityThe operating temperature shows the safe temperature range (from minimum to maximum), within which the display will function flawlessly. Outside this range it might operate improperly and/or fail entirely. High Dynamic Range 10+ (HDR10+) is a dynamic range and colour standard developed by the UHD alliance. As of 2020, all HDR standards are being superseded by new technologies like HDR10+, which offer better contrast levels, brightness, and colour gamut for superior picture quality. Mostly all the content currently available on streaming services will be upgraded to this new standard in the coming years, so it's important that you get yourself one of these TVs if you want to be able to enjoy them at their full potential! The TCL 55C735K’s theme of punching well above its price weight continues with its picture performance. Once you’ve tweaked away one or two preset gremlins, anyway. Tap Cast screen/audio, then follow the on-screen instructions to select your iOS device as a destination for your content (you'll need to enter your passcode first). You've got a big screen TV, but it's not being used to its full potential. Instead of watching the same stuff on your phone as well as on your TV, you should be casting your Android or iOS screen to it instead. Casting is one of those things that most people don't know about or don't try until they see someone else do it and think "Wow! That's pretty cool!" Now that you know what Chromecast is and how it works with various devices, I'll show you how easy it is to cast from Android or iOS, so you can take advantage of this feature yourself!

There are of course a few key differences between the 2022 and 2023 models. The C835K can’t hit the same levels of brightness as its successor, with peak brightness of 1,500 nits compared to 2,000 nits. It also uses an older processor – AiPQ 2.0 – meaning HDR tone-mapping and general processing aren’t quite as impressive. There’s no 98in option either, and the speaker system is powered differently, with two 15W drivers and a single 30W driver in place of the pair of 25W drivers and single 20W driver on the C835K. Did you know that you can set up Google Assistant on a TV with built-in Google Assistant by using Voice Match on your phone or watch and just saying "Hey Google" to communicate with Google Assistant? Pretty much everything about the TCL 65C845K up to this point has been a case of a TV punching well above its price weight – and happily this trend continues with its picture quality.TCL is best known for its budget Roku TVs, some of which are excellent for the money, but the brand is moving beyond that, now offering up QLED Fire TVs for customers in Europe. While you may like one smart TV platform more than another, a QLED display is almost always a strict upgrade over traditional LED. As well the FreeView Play perks of the Android Smart TV platform, the P735 also offers up TCL Home and Google Home, Google Duo and Google Assistant built-in, along with Alexa compatibility for hands-free voice control. There’s also support for Chromecast but no Apple AirPlay 2, while gamers can access Game Master with Stadia streaming titles and ALLM (down to 15ms), but not to the same 120Hz levels as the more expensive models. In fact, the 55C735K even supports the Dolby Vision IQ system, where the advanced Dolby Vision picture settings can automatically adjust themselves to compensate for the amount of ambient light in your room so that you still get the right level of HDR impact. The default Vivid mode, for instance, is a particularly bad offender when it comes to the crushed detail in dark scenes and distractingly overwrought colours. The Movie mode fixes the lost shadow detail issue impressively well but struggles with too much red in the mix and heavy amounts of greyness over dark scenes. The low-power mode, meanwhile, is just too dark to do HDR effectively.

While QLED means “Quantum Light Emitting Diodes“ which with the application of phosphorescent crystals gives bright and vibrant colors, improving the overall experience. However, the limited peak brightness slightly spoils the overall picture. There is no glare from the highlights, but the overall character of the HDR images is very well preserved. In addition, the C735 TV supports Dolby Vision , HDR10+, HLG, HDR10 and Dolby Vision IQ . This universal support ensures that the user is viewing the best HDR image. Sound quality As both these technologies evolve, the difference between them became less and less discernable, eventually making the choice about your own preference rather than any specific benchmarks or performance metrics. C735 Specs AMD Freesync premium for serious gamers with a fluid, tear-free gameplay experience at peak performance

Conclusion

There are some gaming centric options in this set such as an FPS counter (which wasn’t always accurate), and also different game modes such as a boost mode which enhances your gameplay extensively by reducing lag and increasing performance. There is also an aptly titled Game Master Mode where you use the VRR feature to receive the best on-screen visuals without any tearing or ghosting and the best performance overall. Besides this there is also an auto low latency mode which reduces the chances of lagging or delays which makes an incredible difference for fast paced gameplay. TCL also offers an assist option which gives you a customizable crosshair in the middle of your screen, but I rarely found myself using it to be honest. The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC. It is also the last of the models to share the same Google Smart TV platform in the UK as it does with its European counterparts, along with support for Apple HomeKit, Matter and Miracast (plus the more common TCL Home, Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Google Assistant/Alexa companions. The smaller 43 and 50-inch models, along with the super-sized 85 and 98-inch are not yet prepped for the UK market but that could well change a little later down the line. But even if your size options are limited by your home region, the C735 still has the capacity to offer great value for money. Size / Model (UK)
