LEGO released an impressive 25 different Millennium Falcon sets, small and large, between 2000 and 2022. LEGO released the very first set in 2000, during the second year of LEGO’s partnership with the Star Wars franchise. These differences become particularly apparent when viewing this freighter from behind, where the engines are visible. The associated Han Solo minifigure also offers considerable appeal, having only appeared in three earlier sets. Nevertheless, I wonder whether another Millennium Falcon Microfighter was really needed. Viewing these models from behind reveals the most obvious difference as the engine design has been completely overhauled. This structure comprises trans-light blue 1x2 plates which create an appropriate shape and appear to glow more brightly, simply by capturing the light. Additionally, I appreciate the subtler use of dark bluish grey on the latest Millennium Falcon, consisting primarily of light bluish grey pieces but incorporating darker highlights. Easy to build – and to rebuild after battles – this durable 101-piece building toy makes the best birthday present, holiday gift or fun surprise treat for creative kids aged 6+. A very simple design, this mostly light bluish gray mini-build was exclusively at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2015. The micro scale Falcon attaches a white display stand co-branded with logos for LEGO, Star Wars, and Star Wars Celebration Anahiem 2015. The design is extremely similar to the “Millenium Falcon 55555” Target exclusive from 2017.
