About this deal

Beyond that, maintenance-wise, you just need to keep the dehumidifier clean. Unplug the machine on a regular basis and just run over it with a damp cloth, don’t use abrasive cleaners that could damage the plastic.

Pro Breeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier review - Ideal Home Pro Breeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier review - Ideal Home

Size and Portability: As we've discussed, the whole point of a small dehumidifier is its compact size and portability. Ensure that the dimensions align with your available space and look for features like handles or casters for easy manoeuvreability. There are a few pieces of plastic tape that need removing from the sides of the dehumidifier which are placed there to keep anything from shifting during transit. But once unboxed, it’s ready to use. These models certainly have their uses, as they are generally reliable and easy to use. They are also lightweight and use minimal energy. The Funkeen Dehumidifier combines decent performance, portability, and an affordable price. Such a combination makes it one of the best models for home use. And although it can't quite compete with the MeacoDry Arete One 12L Dehumidifier on energy efficiency, it is still relatively energy efficient, especially compared to other compressor dehumidifiers in the Pro Breeze range. The main design feature of the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier is its size. This dehumidifier measures just H30 x W22 x D16cm which makes it one of the smallest dehumidifiers on the market, and definitely the smallest I've tested.

Pro Breeze Mini Rechargeable Dehumidifier for Absorbing

Next, the manufacturer guarantees that this model meets all the safety standards and provides the required certification. It is one of the safest units on this list, so you can leave it on even without supervision. That said, this small dehumidifier won't be for everyone. It's extraction rate is low at just 500ml per day, so if you have large rooms, significant moisture issues, or want to use a dehumidifier to help to dry laundry indoors, this dehumidifier likely won't be for you. Its extraction capacity is too small. The ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier is a very basic design, but if you'd rather not faff around with multiple functions and Wi-Fi connectivity then that might be part of its appeal.

Before we get into the review, it’s important to set realistic expectations of a peltier dehumidifier. Ultra-Quiet & Efficient: Thermo-Electric Peltier Technology (no compressor needed) allows for whisper quiet eco-friendly operation making it great for use in bedrooms and offices. Costs less than 1p p/hour to run: Our dehumidifier has been designed to be energy-efficient with low power consumption. With just 23 watts of power and that 500ml water tank capacity we found the Pro Breeze to be capable enough, but hampered a little by its humble specification. The small tank capacity means it needs emptying on a regular basis if you’re using it a lot, and that’s mainly down to its 250ml extraction rate. That’s not bad and makes the unit quite efficient just as long as you don't expect it to bale you out of extremely damp conditions. This is more of a machine for, shall we say, taking the edge off things.

Pro Breeze Dehumidifier 500ml Compact and Portable Mini Air

This model is one of the most compact dehumidifiers you can find (22 x 15 x 13 cm) and, because of that, it has a relatively small water tank - only 0.5 L. But considering that the manufacturer states that the maximum water extraction per day is around 250 ml, you will have to empty it only once in two days. Plus, like its more advanced rivals, this device also has an auto shut-off when it is full. As you might expect, this is considerably lower than refrigerant or desiccant dehumidifiers. Even the cheapest desiccant models can extract up to 6 litres/per day in the right conditions, so the Pro Breeze dehumidifier is only suitable for small rooms and mild humidity. Moisture is in the air! Ideally, it should be somewhere between 45% - 65% RH; if it's higher than that, the likelihood of mold, mildew, germs, dust mites, and different bacteria lurking in that environment greatly increases. And if they do lurk in, they can become a trigger of many allergic reactions, respiratory illnesses, and skin diseases, like sneezing, stuffy noses, coughing, asthma, pneumonia, eczema, and more. To solve these and many other issues related to the overly humid air, manufacturers recommend taking advantage of a dehumidifier. Peltier dehumidifiers – sometimes called thermo-electric– remove moisture differently to compressor or desiccant models. Electricity is used to create a temperature difference, causing one side of an internal element to heat up and the other to cool. As warm and humid air enters the machine, it first reaches the cooler side, causing moisture to condense and drip into the tank below.

Alternatively, high humidity can promote mould and mildew growth, thus acting as breeding grounds for fungi, germs, and bacteria so harmful to your health. Overexposure to high humidity might also lead to such health problems as dehydration, muscle cramps, and others.
