About this deal

I didn't love Lake as the FMC, though. There were parts where she was a total badass, and I was like, HELL YEA GIRL, but then she kind of fell flat for me. Men like Tyson Crawford need a sacrifice, and he’s made me realize that I’d willingly be that for him” One Christmas, while everyone was thinking of what resolutions they would make for the coming year, she already had something concrete in mind. Shantel convinced herself that she was going to become an author come what may. If you've read any of Shantel Tessier's books set in the Lord's world, you can expect more of the same dark, violent, filthy fun in The Sacrifice!

I give this book five stars and can’t wait to read more from Shantel Tessier. I’ve already added all her books to my TBR and will make time to read them all. =) I can’t wait for The Sinner,a book set in this book but can be read as a standalone. I’m all for it!! I wonder if the MMC in that book can top Ryat, though. He’s on the list of unforgettable MMCs, and Blakely is on the list of favorite FMCs. I'm tired of reading about fmcs who r treated like shit yet secretly enjoy all the nasty stuff that's done to them. Like yes i like me some dubcon situation and all that but when it's the same deal with all the lords, things get monotonous at this point. The author needs to stop making the villain for the heroine a woman related to her. Even when there are evil male figures, it’s always the female ones who are given the evil monologues or the nasty speeches. Shantel Tessier’s novel “Grave,” tells the story of April and Grave. He had lost his mother in his teenage years, robbing him of the only woman he ever loved. This event had taken a huge toll on him as he was left to live with a heartless father. One day, I realized he was not who I thought he was. It didn’t change anything, though, because I was already too far gone. If anything, I fell for him harder. A Lord is to marry after he graduates from Barrington University, an elite college for the rich. A Lady’s job is to help him fit into a world unaware of his secret society. The Lord does not get to choose who he spends the rest of his life with. But there is always an exception to the rule. And I just so happen to be his. To her, I'll be the enemy, but I'm okay with that. Sometimes the villain is the only one who wins because no one else is ruthless enough to fight him."

Shantel Tessier is a Wall Street Journal and the USA Today bestselling author that is best known for her “Undescribable” series of novels. Not only that, she finds herself in charge of the Roses the flower shop that has been in the family for years. This is a lot of responsibility and she often finds herself stressed out and very busy. But I am here for Carnage and the Spade brothers. Obsessed with this world and with all the epilogues with their kids it’s got me excited for the next gen! Building and supporting a community of self-published authors dedicated to both sharing experiences and le Officially 15k Members Strong & Climbing!! The sex is explicit, there are some things with wax-play, but it was also boring because the H+h fell into insta-lust without any relationship-building. Not saying that the author can’t write it because Sabotage was absolute filth and the characters had a better reason for their hate dynamic.

I had high hopes for Lake, I thought she was a strong character in the beginning, and there were times that she showed or thought of it and cheered her on. I really supported her. She really had gone through a lot, and it’s pretty understandable since she’s traumatized. In the end, I feel sorry for her. I do read about dubcon and… I love degradation, but as a cliche for me to say this, I guess for me I didn’t feel an authentic connection between both characters. (Maybe that’s just me). The way their relationship began was questionable, and I didn’t support it. In my head, I guess I kept second-guessing their relationship, but then again, it may be just me. However, they kind of both worked it out in the end. Some of the novels she read have left her laughing, others smiling while others have had her in tears. They have made her grateful for the life she had or have made her compare her own life to what she reads. Blakely is clueless about the dark secret society inhabiting Barry University that she’s about to immerse herself in due to Ryat. She knows she shouldn’t since she’s dating someone, but that someone is a grade-a-hole to her, and I was all for her being Ryat’s chosen, especially after truths started to come out about her so-called boyfriend.

He believes he has done her a favor, even though she feels like she has been given a death sentence. He had refused to get married as he is still in love with her but it does seem that he wants more power and money. The Ritualhad everything in it, where the MMC has been preparing himself to be initiated in the Lords, a Secret Society at Barry University. He has done everything that is expected without question to be a Lord, and now it’s time for him to choose his Chosen during his Senior year. Every Lord gets to choose a girl from a list of girls that want to be part of the chosen. The girl Ryat Archer ends up with is already in an arranged relationship/marriage with another Lord. Ryat doesn’t care and doesn’t hesitate to ask Blakely to be his chosen. He ends up stalking her to get to know her routine and everything because he would have never considered her a choice for himself until he gets to know Blakely and realizes she’s not as innocent as everyone assumes. People think growing up with money is freeing, but I promise you, it’s not. My entire life has been planned out for me. I never got the chance to do what I wanted until Ryat Alexander Archer came along and gave me an option for a better life. He offered me what no one else ever had—freedom.
