About this deal

The T3PA is relatively standard fare in terms of sim racing pedals, if not at the higher-end of said classification. While the set is always going to be used in the F1 (standard) position, the array of tweaks and mods on offer allow for considerable customization. Furthermore, the archetypal design does extend to aesthetics, and equates to a truly classic design that doesn’t stand out nor offend. You may think on first impression that these look identical to the already existing T500RS pedals. And, well they are certainly very similar. But that is for good reason. The T500RS pedals feature the best product design of any Thrustmaster pedal set to date.

If you have previously used the standard two pedal kit that comes with Thrustmaster wheels, these will feel familiar. The brake and throttle pedals both feel almost identical to the two pedal kit. I added slight upper deadzone on clutch and gas. I added slight lower deadzone on all 3 pedals to be on the safe side. When you compare these pedals to the standard two pedal set you will see a lot of similarities. The majority of the base of each pedal set is made from plastic. The pedals themselves feature a similar metal design and construction, and they’re hinged in the exact same way. The conical brake mod is where these pedals really come in to their own. The T3PA-Pro pedals come with two brake mods in fact. The first is the spring based brake mod from the T500RS pedals. This is OK, and effectively makes the brake pedal stiffer.

As mentioned, the design is almost identical to the T500RS pedals. That isn’t a bad thing. Unlike some cheaper pedals, the T3PA-Pros feature a full metal construction. This really elevates the perceived quality of this pedal set. When you are looking to buy a Thrustmaster sim racing wheel, you will see that the main wheel bundles come with a two pedal set as standard. You do have the option to upgrade to a three pedal set as part of these bundles, which add these T3PA pedals to your bundle. The T3PA-PRO features 2 impressive compression springs: the resulting pressure force is adjustable according to the range of travel allocated to the springs. Users can therefore adjust to best suit their own preferences. This provides a big advantage in racing, since victory so often depends on the brake pedal’s performance. Would I recommend these pedals? Hells yeah! Especially those looking to upgrade their own T3PA Pedals. The load cell brake simply cannot compare to the T3PA's conical brake mod. But it does get the job done though. The T-LCM's hall sensor effects on all 3 pedals are more improved over the T3PA's potentiometers. Thrustmaster has placed a really convincing price on these pedals. Only "CONS" I have about them are; all three pedals have slight "wiggle side-to-side movement," but this is not noticeable at all while driving. The other being more of a future request... I would like to see a stiffer spring set of springs upgrade in the works in the near future.

This rubber mod fits directly behind the brake pedal to offer a much more realistic, progressive resistance. This come in to play the harder you push the pedal, giving you more resistance the closer you get to 100% pressure. Then there is the new conical brake mod, which is from the standard T3PA pedal set. The conical brake mod is a piece of high-density rubber, shaped like a cone. You can also mount the pedals from above. Effectively, by inverting the pedal mounting, you create a set of pedals which matches a real road car. This gives ultimate immersion when driving these styles of cars, and even better throttle and pedal control in certain situations.
