About this deal

I previously had a front mounted front push/pull configuration in my Lancool 2, but I did not want to waste the ability for a large 420 front intake fan configuration, so, when building the Lancool 3, I opted for a top mounting the AIO instead, which was a previously impossible configuration in the Lancool 2.

Mid-tower chassis with two modes: Normal Mode/ Reverse Mode Feature multi-directional power button and movable IO module Front and side tempered glass panels for components and RGB display Supports up to 3x 360 radiators and a maximum of 10 fans Offers 9 storage drives mounting space Dual-chamber layout with hooks friendly cable management compartment Five optional accessories: Vertical GPU Kit… interchangeable pump looks that can be customized with L-Connect 3 Factory installed with daisy-chainable radiator LCP fans Pump motor speed goes up to 4200RPM Includes a newly designed pathway, copper plate and larger impeller for better waterflow for liquid coolant 45-degree tubing connector with tubes’ inner diameter increased to 7mm

LANCOOL 216 optional accessory To control the lighting effects of the front fans Additional 2 USB 3.0 ports Launcestonian Ryzen 7000 / AM5 Memory guide (DDR5 6000+ stability, slow boots, memory training etc) ( 14) Lian Li kindly sent us the white RGB version of this case for us to play around with and take a look at. It’s a hefty design that out of the box took us by surprise. We tested the Lian Li Lancool III in sweltering hot weather (for the UK) and it stormed through the tests. While we saw some improvement in temperatures as we ramped up fan speeds we also heard a great deal more noise and would strongly recommend you run the fans at a nice, quiet 1,000rpm. Closing Thoughts Built in velcro hooks are cool, but when they age and break how easy to replace with generics are they?

In the condition of using the included riser cable (PCIE3.0) of the vertical GPU kit with a PCIE 4.0 motherboard and a PCIE 4.0 GPU, please follow bellow steps to set up your BIOS to make it compatible. Prior to the Lancool III, there was – can you believe it – a Lancool II model! The new v3 variant sports a similar design, but differentiates itself with a much improved front panel. If you choose the more traditional air cooling, the Lancool III can support tower coolers up to 185mm (7.3 inches). Supported GPU length is up to 420mm (16.5 inches), so even the most oversized graphics cards should fit without issues. I like this case MUCH better than the Lancool 2, for the sake of simply appearances. The lancool 3 gives the ability for a uniform 3x fans on top and bottom for a uniform look, as opposed to the lancool 2 which only gave 2 fans for the top and bottom which gave an asymmetrical appearance. There was a nice attention to detail to allow the SL fans RGB to be viewed from the front.Owning the first Lancool K62, this is a huge improvement over that, it looks better than that one too. Jay is an avid keyboard builder and gamer, with a major passion for tech. In fact, Jay's personal rig boasts a white RX 7900 XTX graphics card, inside of the Lian O11D Mini - a true enthusiast's dream! The LANCOOL III sports a futuristic look with its two brushed aluminium strips located at the front. Each strip doubles as a door handle for the right and left side tempered glass panels. With a modern I/O located at the top of the front panel (Power button, Reset button, two USB 3.0, USB Type C, Audio), users have the option to relocate it to the bottom for easier access when the case is placed on a desk. Two spring-loaded SDD trays located behind the motherboard tray allow for a toolless installation of the drives.

Full-tower chassis with two modes: Normal Mode/ Reverse Mode Front and side tempered glass panels with a removable pilar for a seamless view of components and RGB lighting Supports up to 3x 420mm radiators and a maximum of 11 fans Offers mounting space for 7 storage drives Dual-chamber layout with cable management compartment and three cable holders Features a multi-directional… The two bottom side panels provide sufficient airflow to efficiently cool the GPU when fans are installed above the PSU shroud. The Lancool III provides a plethora of options for keeping all your components cool. To begin with, the front mesh panel facilitates great airflow and dust filtration. This is due to it having 15mm holes 2mm apart offering an exceptional 51% porosity. Out of the box, this case comes with four 140mm PWM fans pre-installed at the front and rear of the case. Alongside these fans, another three 120mm fans can be installed above the power supply chamber, and three 140mm fans can be attached to the top of the case. The Lancool III provides a plethora of options for keeping all your components cool. To begin with, the front mesh panel facilitates great airflow and dust filtration. This is due to it having 15mm holes 2mm apart offering an exceptional 51% porosity. Out of the box, this case comes with three 140mm RGB PWM fans pre-installed at the front, coupled with a 140mm PWM fan in the rear of the case. The 12600K tended to hover in the low to mid-20s at idle and loaded up to about the high 60s. The NVIDIA RTX 2080 Super FE sat around 30C idle, and once it was loaded up, about 65C.

They seem to be less and less these days as most people don't want to have drives inside the case it seems, but this one is right up there on the price/performance for that niche.

Lots of mesh and four 140mm fans

We’ve updated our testing hardware to use Intel’s 12 Gen “Alder Lake” platform, which has shaken up the desktop landscape (and taken prominent spots on our best CPUs for gaming list). We’re now using a Core i7-12700KF, which is being cooled by a Noctua U12s air cooler. Our graphics card is a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC. Upright graphics card accessories for O11D EVO XL New mounting angle for GPU opens room for unrestricted chimney-style configuration. Designed for large GPUs such as 40 series GPUs This being Lian Li's most basic version of the Lancool III gives you just about everything except for lighting, which you could very well add later. In this review will be covering both iterations of the case, an RGB and non-RGB model. Is this large, ATX tower much the same of what we’ve already seen in the full-tower case landscape, or something a bit more special? The answer – a mix of both!
