About this deal

So more height control would be appreciated, as would a better way of controlling that. As it is now, you need to flip the mower on its side and go in underneath, changing the height of the wheels manually. Some lawn mowers also have a grass catcher attached to them. This is a bag that collects the grass clippings as the mower moves along. The grass clippings can then be used as mulch or compost. A gear system would be much nicer, controllable from up top, but we suspect that has been lost to the overall cost Ozito is going for. Push Mowers. A push mower is the most basic type of lawn mower. It doesn't have any fancy features or bells and whistles - just a simple motor and blades that you push along your lawn. Push mowers are great for small yards or if you're on a budget.

I bought this lawn mower after I bought an Ozito brush cutter and hedge trimmer in which I was also impressed with. We also wish the build quality was better, and that it managed to fold up more easily for storage in the shed. This product carries a full 5 year manufacturers warranty covering both faulty materials and faulty workmanship, it does not cover general wear and tear or damage, batteries, blades, bulbs and other consumables. In the unlikely event of a fault the item returned is subject to fair wear & tear and must not have been used beyond the scope of it's design.

Solve: If you begin to notice your battery won’t charge fully, overheats frequently, or can’t hold a charge for a longer time, it might be time to replace the battery. Image Credit: Louiesharpe, Pixabay Use the Ozito 18V Brushless Lawn Mower and you’ll get the lawn cut, but we’re not sure it’ll last longer than a year or two given how it feels. That’s not to say this is a cheap-as-chips flimsy garden tool — it’s not that — but that even though you can find the batteries, the whole thing feels like it just won’t last.

For instance, the build feels cheap and very plastic, almost as if the thing was a toy. There’s a plastic set of controls that almost comes off like it came out of a kids play set, while the cord connecting it looks like the plastic hose you’d hide desk cables with. This is an inexpensive lawnmower, and it really looks and feels like it, too. It’s remarkable how hard this thing is to build, given it’s only a few pieces of plastic, and once you’re done, you’ll probably have broken a small section off just trying to force it in place. We hope you don’t, but we definitely did. Things like batteries become an impossibility, and in the case of an electric mower — where extra batteries would be extremely useful, especially as batteries lose power over time — that is a problem. Ride-on Mowers. A ride-on mower is the best option for large yards. These have seats and are powered by gas or electricity. They're also generally more expensive than other types of lawn mowers. Reel Mowers. A reel mower is a traditional type of mower that is powered by you. Reel mowers have rotating blades that cut the grass when you push the mower forward. They're great for people who want an eco-friendly option or who have small yards.Self-Propelled Mowers. A self-propelled mower is similar to a push mower, but it has a motor that helps move the mower forward. This can be a great feature if you have a large yard or if you have trouble pushing a mower. Keep the underside of the lawn mower clean. This will help to prevent grass buildup and ensure that the lawn mower can operate at peak efficiency. Read the manufacturer's instructions carefully before using the lawn mower for the first time. This will help you understand the specific requirements for maintaining your particular model.
