About this deal

Plot: When darkness descends, a true hero must rise! As the Night of Eternal Darkness approaches, Spyro is haunted by recurring visions of an impending evil. He must master powerful new abilities on an epic quest to find the Well of Souls and prevent Gaul, the Ape King, from resurrecting the Dark Master. The Eternal Night was a sequel to A New Beginning, was released in October 2007 for the PlayStation 2, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, and Wii consoles and was once again developed by Krome Studios. In this game, the Ape King Gaul planned to free the Dark Master from the Well of Souls on the Night of Eternal Darkness, and Spyro—having faced several visions of the threat from the Chronicler, an ancient, wise dragon—embarked on a journey to stop him. Elijah Wood, Gary Oldman, Corey Burton, Jeff Bennett, and Kevin Michael Richardson reprised their roles for the game, with Billy West taking over the role for Sparx, and Mae Whitman taking over the role for Cynder. The fifth series entry revolves around the abduction of the fireflies by Rhynocs. It causes the dragons the ability to breathe fire, so Spyro must rescue the magical creatures. The transition from traditional controllers in A New Beginning to the Wii remote in The Eternal Night proved challenging, as the cue system developed for the traditional controllers of the PlayStation 2 and GameCube didn't work for the Wii. [11] The ultimate solution for this problem was found by Krome Studio's lead coder, who wrote a program to simulate how any action was performed, making it possible for developers to code that action for the Wii. [11] However, the Wii Classic Controller can be used to play The Eternal Night on the Wii, since it is compatible. [ citation needed] Characters [ edit ] Graser, Marc (25 September 2007). Activision's attempt at a Baja off-roading game is so utterly obscure that not only was it never reviewed by Eurogamer, it also happens to be completely absent from the gaming database in both its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 incarnations. As it happens, the final retail code is wholly unremarkable to a degree to that more than justifies its anonymity. A stupendously awful release well deserving of its 3/10 score, having to play through Golden Axe: Beast Rider twice for this purposes of this feature was a genuinely sinister proposition. As it is, a game as conceptually poor and formulaic is it is on Xbox 360 descends into an experience that is almost tragicomic on PlayStation 3. Dawn of the Dragon features a number of other alterations. Spyro is given the ability to fly at will, [9] allowing for more exploration. The game also features a two-player co-op mode, with player two controlling Spyro's friend, Cynder. If player two is not active, then the player may switch between Spyro and Cynder during gameplay. [9] Cynder has her own elemental breath powers as well, described as most uncommon abilities gained from her exposure to the darkness – poison, fear, wind and shadow. This entry also introduces an ability called "Dragon Time." This feature allows Spyro to slow down time around him, making certain platforming segments and combat in general easier. [2] Secondly, there's the frame rate. Xbox 360's enhanced visuals (the aforementioned anti-aliasing along with some other minor effects) seem to arbitrarily cripple the refresh rate at practically any given point. PS3 loses frames too, but it's nowhere near as intrusive to the gameplay as it is on Xbox 360. Not good. A Hero’s Tail debuted for Xbox in 2004. The games look identical in screenshots, albeit with some superior texture work on Xbox 360. Both releases are 720p, but you'd be hard-pressed not to think it's running at a lower resolution on account of a horrible blur filter that has been applied liberally to 360 and PS3 alike. However, the real dividing factor is the frame rate. On Xbox 360, the developer has a stab at taking on a 720p 60fps update. By and large, it is successful, albeit at the cost of some ugly screen-tear. PS3 on the other hand tears even more badly, and has a massively variable refresh-rate to boot.

That's not to say I disagree about consolidation in general and all markets in all industries consolidating from dozes of regional and local industries to everything merging into markets of 2-3 global competitors and that's the end of it, our new corporate hegemonic feudalist-sociaist global society. But that's a whole other conversation/rant outside of gaming, nor is it one that I think can be solved without WWIII. We're too far over the cliff now. Bianca, an anthropomorphic rabbit, steals the eggs, and Spyro follows her down a rabbit hole. The rabbit hole leads to the Forgotten Realms, which are under the rule of the game's primary antagonist, The Sorceress, to whom Bianca is apprenticed. As in the previous games, levels are accessed from a central home world, of which there are four: Sunrise Spring, Midday Gardens, Evening Lake, and Midnight Mountain. The game also features levels in which the player controls "Sparx", Spyro's companion dragonfly, in a bird's eye view shooting game as well as four new playable characters: Sheila the Kangaroo, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley the Yeti, and Agent 9 the Monkey.
