If you’re looking to go on a family camping adventure, you’ll first need the right tent. We’ve put together 15 family tents that our camping experts recommend for 2023. The divider is with zippers on the sides so you can roll it up and create one very large sleeping room.
Perfect for a small family camping trip, the Vango Beta 450XL can comfortably accommodate up to four people. The tent gives an impressive space-to-weight ratio due to its tunnel design. The Vango Beta gets its sturdy stability from the Tension Band System, which can be adjusted to prevent sideways movement in strong, changeable winds. You can also store various pieces of camping gear in the functional porch area. CON’s : We like others find using the main front zipped door difficult in that it’s hard to do up the zip we have tried everything including undoing guys etc we think ours was an early edition as only a few others have the same problem, we actually now use the side door which suits us better allowing better use of the front covered porch. To make the decision a little easier, here are our top 3 tips on purchasing your perfect family tent. The fabric: The shell fabric is a polyester with a 4000 mm waterproof rating. The seams are taped. They do not provide information about the floor material, but note that it is fully sewn-in and sealed.The inner tent has yet another extra floor. There are two doors, one is under the porch so it is fully protected from the rain and this is a dry entry point. The other door is on the side.
Light and airy with lots of windows all with blinds and a great sized front porch for cooking and sitting under even in inclement weather. The bedroom area whilst will sleep 6 we think it is more suited to four., the bedroom inner tent is great with a removable divider. Here you have a typical example of a tunnel tent, with a huge area for 6 people, with 3 separate rooms. These include a large living area plus two sleeping units.
