About this deal

At the age of 85, he attended Hampden to watch us lift the Scottish Cup, and in doing so, meant he had seen us lift every domestic trophy including: One-club man Lewis Stevenson is Hibernian’s record league appearance maker and remains the only player to lift the Scottish Cup and the League Cup for Hibs Men. A player who transcends numerous eras of the Club in the 21 st century, he is often referred to by teammates, fans and staff alike as ‘Mr Hibs’. In 2023, he joined Pat Stanton in being honoured with the Club’s prestigious ‘Special Recognition Award’, celebrating those who have made the greatest contribution to Hibernian during their careers. I bought another pink scarf from the club shop a week past Monday, but then zondervan tried it on as a cravat outside Jaynes and told me he's keeping it. That one was nine quid.

She said: “Lewis has been at the club 10 years now and this is the best group of wives and family. I think having a strong support does help.” A number of Hibernian scarves feature in the shoot, most notably a vintage scarf worn by Pat Stanton with a Hibs ‘peace’ sign embroidered onto it. This belongs to supporter and father of the photographer, Colin Allan. Keith Wright also sits on a chair adorned with a Hibs flag, again borrowed from the Historical Trust, while in individual shots of Keith fans will notice a giant banner from the 1991 Skol Cup Final. Tommy was a hero to me and so many others and loved this club in a way that made you feel guilty if yer arse left it's seat before the final whistle. Kindly loaned to the kit shoot by the Hibernian Historical Trust, these boots were worn over 70 years ago by legendary Hibs striker Lawrie Reilly. Lawrie was one of the Club’s greatest-ever players and top goalscorers, he personalised these boots by pressing in small golden studs to create ‘LR9’ on the bottom. Got a Skonto Riga scarf somewhere too. They were playing Bristol City when were based in Riga for the Dinaburg game. The star’s partner Lauren said she was “feeling amazing,” while his mum Denise was “totally overwhelmed”. year-old son Louies and daughter Luna, one, Julia said it was family support that made all the difference on the field. Julia Stevenson, wife of fans’ favourite Lewis, admitted the big win was an “emotional rollercoaster.” These pieces of furniture were loaned kindly to the shoot by Malt & Hops, a pub on the bank of Leith Shore. Everyone working on the shoot enjoyed a pint in the sun outside Malt & Hops after a job well done! On the floor are two Hibs shirts from the 1960s and 1970s, iconic kits from the Club’s history. The 1965-71 shirt shares a similar collar to the new design and also has blood on it from an unknown game – but as it was worn by John Brownlie, it’s fair to assume it was an opponent’s!

It was great reading all the positive things about his life, a Hibee through and through. My motto is to always focus on the positives, there's enough negatives on the world for others to focus on. As a Hibee, he's seen it all, plus many we'd all rather he (we) didn't. But assistant manager John Doolan spotted them and rushed over to give some of the Easter Road faithful a once-in-a-lifetime brush with the silverware. On the off chance this reaches the eyes of anyone that may have known him over the years, his funeral will be held at Seafield Crematorium on Friday 22nd September at 13:00.Watched the final whistle through my fingers last night. Agree very much with jonnyboy's (as usual) excellent analysis. We shot ourselves in the foot. Every where I've been in Europe with Hibs I've taken a Hibs scarf to swap with an opposing fan. The only places I never got one was Dinaburg and Asteras because in Latvia Dinaburg didn't have club merchandise and in Greece we couldn't get near their fans, I even got a swap no bother in Lucerne last week. I'll give them all to my laddie when he's old enough. Hibs progressed 5-3 on aggregate to secure a Europa Conference League play-off against a Villa side captained by former Easter Road hero John McGinn, who was part of their 2016 Scottish Cup-winning team. A souvenir to mark a competitive match against English opposition, which doesn’t happen very often. The programmes in shot are from two games during the turn of the century. One features Kevin Harper on the cover, while the other is from the Hibees’ famous 6-2 victory over Hearts at Easter Road.

Sadly we lost a Hibs supporting legend recently. My granda Tommy Faughnan passed away on Wednesday 23rd August at the age of 92. He left us at the age of 92 (90+2) on the 23rd (2-3) at approximately 01:32am (Won 3-2). The ultimate Hibby to the very end. Youan fired Hibs into an early lead and set up Boyle to level the tie on the night in the 73rd minute, soon after Luzern had got within one goal on the aggregate score.Hibs royalty, Pat Stanton made 617 appearances for the Club in a glittering 14-year Easter Road career during the 1960s and 70s. The commanding and technically-gifted midfielder was the captain of Hibernian’s famous Turnbull’s Tornadoes side that beat Hearts 7-0 at Tynecastle on New Year’s Day, 1973 and lifted the League Cup just months earlier. Pat would later manage the Club and is now a member of both the Hibernian and Scottish Football Hall of Fame.

Eilidh Adams is one of the best products from Hibernian’s Academy system in many years. The 19 year-old striker has the potential to go all the way in the women’s game and has already established herself as a crucial player in the senior Hibs side. A Scotland Under-19 international, she has an incredible eye for goal – including during games at Easter Road in front of record-breaking crowds. One to watch on the big stage. I also need to mention that I couldn't go to THE cup final and watched it in the pub, and if I remember correctly the scarf stayed at home. Watch Hibs fans sing stirring anthem Sunshine On Leith as more than a century-long curse is exorcised
