i loved gibsie in r6, he was hilarious (as always), but i also loved how we got to see another side of him - how helpful he was. The pace was off. It follows a similar timeline to K13 but the summarizing of dialogues and actions that happened in K13 made it feel like we were jumping from one scene to another. Maybe to compensate, Aoife and Joey spent the first 80% of the book walking in circles, copying what had already happened in S6 but getting worse and worse with time. It would probably have worked better if we didn’t know what was going to happen at the end- I still remember how my heart raced with fear in K13-, but here I just wanted to know what was going to come next. Only to realize that ‘next’ was only 20% of the book, with more scenes about other characters than the main couple and with way too many problems that were left to imagine were solved in the epilogue.
