About this deal

Street art develops into multiple forms in public places or on the streets. The term includes: the practice of graffiti, use of stencils, paint and markers, video projection, creation of posters on streets and sidewalks. Street art is considered a movement of artists who refuse to be associated with the masses, who want to raise attention by showing their political opinions, without being associated with a particular art form. The street artists are basically the ones who prefer to perform without permission, without prior consent, without taboos and without limits. Street art can be seen everywhere in the world, since it has no boundaries, nor sex, nor predetermined delimitation. All this has contributed to making this form of art increasingly original and popular.

This thinking monkey seems to suggest the intelligence of other beings, and Banksy may be poking fun at humans who consider us to be the only ones with intelligence. All the same, a thinking monkey may just be played for a laugh. 25.Keep your coins, I won’t change – Melbourne. In this work, Banksy has produced an image of a young girl being grabbed by a cash machine, and the art in its current form was first seen in 2007. On another level, the colour palette used in Girl with Balloon has often reminded me of the movie Schlinder’s List by Steven Spielberg from 1994.

One such person is of course Justin Bieber and Banksy took to social media to air his disgust and in so doing proving he is at least not a Belieber. Flying Ballon Girl on the West Bank wall at Kalandia (2005) by Banksy; Maureen from Buffalo, USA, CC BY 2.0, via Wikimedia Commons On the surface it’s still a stunning, whimsical piece of stencil art. Our girl, with her hair blowing in the wind appears to have lost her balloon to that same wind.

Depicting in this work is an average-looking painter, who has painted the words “follow your dreams”.Regarding single-person households with dependent children, 47.8 % were at risk of poverty or social exclusion, compared with only about 18.2 % of households with two adults and two dependent children. Bull, Martin (1 November 2011). Banksy Locations & Tours Volume 1: A Collection of Graffiti Locations and Photographs in London, England. PM Press. ISBN 9781604863208. Of course, we cannot talk about the Balloon Girl without mentioning the high profile incident at a Sotheby’s auction in October 2018. At the same time, the image is also tinged with a sense of melancholy or sadness, as the girl's position below the balloon suggests that she may not be able to reach it. This can be seen as a reflection of the harsh realities of life and the many obstacles that can stand in the way of our dreams and aspirations. Young people are up to all sorts of mischief, and so when the police introduced a “stop and search” policy to search young people, Banksy jumped in and criticized the move.

On Thursday the 13 th of February 2020, this artwork appeared on the side of a building in Barton Hill just overnight. This imagery was first spotted in 2002, in London’s West Bank, stenciled atop a washed up wall that passed by many pedestrians daily. What makes this particular graffiti so eye catching and memorable is its ability to speak a message in mere seconds. Even without reading the words that are faintly painted to the side of the image, there is a clear motif of hope. This work of art is comprised of two separate pieces. This half depicts a girl with a long green skipping rope seen moving across the ground, where it connects to a different painting. Their art sells for millions now, sometimes meaning people buy and remove the entire wall it was painted on! What are some of Banksy's famous pieces?

In the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham at Christmas, these reindeer are painted on a wall and appear to be pulling the bench that homeless people use as a bed. Through his work, Banksy aims to draw attention to important social and political issues and to provoke thought and discussion among viewers. His messages often touch on topics such as capitalism, consumerism, war, poverty, and the environment, among others. Balloons signify happiness- and Banksy makes that very clear by making it the only aspect of the image that has color. Balloons often remind us of happy occasions and celebrations. When inflated, balloons only go up- but after a short amount of time they deflate and go down- an unavoidable occurrence. This mimics the behavior of a child’s imagination. A mind that pushes beyond limits, but then eventually hits a point of adulthood and loss of that innocence. This work shows a man with flowers who appears to have been stood up by a woman, possibly one of the workers from the club. The owner removed the work to display inside instead. 47.Policeman Searching Girl – Glastonbury It depicts a young girl whose hair and dress are blowing in the wind, reaching for, or releasing, a red, heart-shaped balloon that has slipped from her grasp. The gesture and the red balloon, an archetypal symbol of childhood and freedom, present a powerful message that can be read in a number of ways. Whether you see the girl as losing the balloon, or about to catch it, the meaning can be interpreted as a loss of innocence or the arrival of new hope and love.
